Chanel Riva Cote d’Azur collection fall 2010 swatches

Chanel Riva – was the only polish in the Cote d’Azur coll. fall 2010.

Riva is a sheer dusty pastel blue with a light hint of grey and gorgeous blue shimmer. It takes 3 generous coats for full opacity as on these swatches. I did not use a top coat. I am thinking that this probably also would be very pretty with white underwear.

This was the last of the Chanel polishes released in 2010 - so I have now shown all the 2010, 2011, 2012 and 2013 Chanel polishes + many older ones - totally 132 so far.

Chanel Rose Insolent 489 Rouge Allure Extrait de Gloss collection fall 2010 swatches

Chanel Rose Insolent 489 – is from the Rouge Allure Extrait de Gloss coll. fall 2010: Rose Insolent 489, RoseConfidentiel 491 and Rouge Fatal 487.

Rose Insolent is a pretty pink cream. It is fairly opaque in one coat, but this is two coats without a top coat.

Chanel Rouge Fatal 487 Rouge Allure Extrait de Gloss collection fall 2010 swatches

Chanel Rouge Fatal 487 – is from the Rouge Allure Extrait de Gloss coll. fall 2010: Rose Insolent 489, RoseConfidentiel 491 and Rouge Fatal 487.

Rouge Fatal is a blood red cream with a super glossy finish. It is opaque in one coat, but this is two coats without a top coat.

I love this vampy red polish - do you?

Holiday with flakies and flowers - nail art

The base color is Chanel Holiday 617, see swatches HERE, and I layered with a coat of Nubar 2010 hoping that both the green and orange/copper flash in the flakies would come out and play, but as I feared the green ones grew timid in the company of this bold orange ;)

The simple nail art I painted in acrylic craft colors and the top coat is Seche Vite.

Chanel Khaki Rose - Les Khakis FNO 2010 collection swatches

Chanel Khaki Rose – is from the Les Khakis, Fashion Night Out 2010 coll.: Khaki Vert, Khaki Rose and Khaki Brun.

Khaki Rose is a milk chocolate brown cream with a weak rose hue, and you easily can get away with 1 coat – but this is 2 coats without a top coat. The application is easy, the dry time is good and the shine is amazing.

Khaki Rose er en mælkechokolade brun cremelak med et meget svagt rosa skær, og man kan let nøjes med et lag – men her ser du 2 lag uden toplak. Den er let at lægge, tørretiden er god, og den skinnende finish er fantastisk.

Chanel Pulsion 547, Les Tentation coll. Holiday 2010 - swatches

As I said previously today, one of the quirky things about collecting Chanel polishes is the reuse of names and numbers, but it makes the "hunt" even more interesting! Today I'm showing two completely different colors with the same name!

Som sagt tidligere i dag er en af de finurlige ting ved at samle Chanel lakker genbruget af navne og numre, men det gør "jagten" endnu mere interessant! I dag viser jeg to vidt forskellige farver med det samme navn!

Chanel Pulsion 547 – is from the 2010 Holiday coll. “Les Tentation” - and should not be confused with Chanel Pulsion 103 that I showed earlier today, click on the name to see it!

Pulsion 547 is a beautiful and bold blue-toned pink cream with a beautiful and shiny finish. The application is a breeze and dry time is good.

This is 2 coats without a top coat.

Pulsion 547 er en smuk og frisk blå-tonet pink cremelak. Den er superlet at lægge og tørretiden er god, og se lige den skinnende finish.

Dette er 2 lag uden toplak.

Leaves against the Himalayan blue sky - Artsy Wednesday

This artsy Wednesday the theme is “Leaves”.

The base color is Sally Hansen Himalayan Blue, a gorgeous sky blue. I painted leaves in different shades of acrylic craft color along the cuticle and sides of the nail, and sponged the free space with Nubar 2010 (flakies shifting between green and copper). The top coat is Seche Vite…

Grundfarven er Sally Hansen Himalayan Blue, en smuk himmelblå. Jeg malede bladene med akrylfarve i forskellige grønne nuancer langs neglebånd og neglene sider, og jeg duppede  de fri blå område med Nubar 2010, dens flakies skifter mellem kobber og grøn. Toplakken er Seche Vite.

In this wildlife animal print theme, I'll show you: Fish, leopard, giraffe, snake with tulle, stamped snake, zebra, tiger, leopard natural, leopard holographic purple, leopard 4 stamping plates comparison, zebra 5 stamping plates comparison, Zebra - vertikal and horisontal.

I dette tema om dyreprint, vilde dyrs pels og skind, vil jeg vise: Fisk, leopard, giraf, slange med tyl, stamped/stemplet slange, zebra, tiger, leopard i naturtro farver, leopard på holografisk lilla, leopard 4 stamping/stemple plader sammenligning, zebra 5 stamping/stempel plader sammenligning, Zebra - vandret og lodret.

I used China Glaze Icicle as the base color, and I layered with Nubar 2010 and ChinaGlaze Snow Globe – the latter had been enough. You can choose any glitter or polish, but the sparkles give you a more vibrant “fish”. I chose the easy way to create the fish scales. I stamped them on with Konad Black using Red Angel plate RA-111 and for the fish skeleton RA-107, but it’s entirely up to you, you can freehand the scales with a tiny brush in the color of your choice (polish or acrylic color). Start of with a row of half-circles, og then you paint the next like you see on the photos.

Jeg brugte China Glaze Icicle som grundfarve, og jeg toppede den med Nubar 2010 og China Glaze Snow Globe – Snow Globe havde været nok. Men du kan vælge lige den glitter eller den og de lakker, du synes er bedst for at give en skinnende ”fisk”. Jeg var doven og stampede fiskeskællene på med Konad Black og jeg brugte Red Angel RA-111 og til skelettet RA-107. Men du kan sagtens selv male skællene med en lille pensel med enten akrylfarve eller neglelak; start med en række halvcirkler, og lav så næste række forskudt i forhold til første.

Nubar 2010, first impressions and swatches on nailwheel - magic in a bottle!

Nubar 2010 arrived today, and I cannot stop looking at it – it changes and changes depending on the light, just like I have tried to capture here below, so be prepared for many photos :)

It is a limited edition celebrating Nubar being free of DBP (phthalate), formaldehyde, and toluene for 10 years. It consists of reflective glitter in a polychromatic base, and I believe it is true, when Nubar claims that only my imagination is the limit to the possibilities in the effects I can achieve.

Nubar 2010 ankom i dag, og jeg kan bare ikke holde op med at kigge på den; den skifter og skifter alt efter lyset, og jeg har prøvet at fange det på foto, så godt jeg kan, så der er en del…

Det er en limited edition, der fejrer at Nubar i 10 år har været fri for phthalater, formaldehyd og toulene. Den består af reflekterende glitter i en polychrome base, og når Nubar påstår at det kun er min fantasi, der sætter grænser for de effekter jeg kan opnå, så tror jeg på, at det er sandt.

I prefer it on the dark colors, jeg foretrækker den på de mørke farver.

 

So later on I tried over 2 coats of – senere prøvede jeg over 2 lag af: China Glaze Velvet Bow + 1x CG Fairy Dust, CG Velvet Bow, CG Concrete catwalk, CG Little Drummer Boy, Orly Goth. I'm not so fond of the one with the glitter underneath - jeg er ikke så vild med den med glitter.

Need I say more – I’m in love…. Behøver jeg sige mere, jeg er forelsket…

I NEED TO PUT THAT POLISH AWAY NOOOOW, it's distracting me waaayy to much!!!!
