Mary Kay Lemon Parfait swatches

Summer is officially over, but I'm showing one last pastel yellow, the last of 11 this summer.
I already have 11 new to show you in 2017, so more to com next June or maybe sooner ;)

Mary Kay Lemon Parfait is a beautiful warm-toned soft pale pastel yellow cream polish. It is opaque in two coats, but I added an extra for these photos + a coat of Seche Vite.

Maybelline Banana Puddin' swatches

This pastel yellow summer morning we have a vintage rarity...

Maybelline Banana Puddin’ (Wet Shine) is a hard to find vintage pastel yellow from the late 90’s probably around 98. I was lucky enough to track it down last year, I felt I needed it in my 100+ pastel yellow collection as one of the more rare ones.
It is a gorgeous pale pastel yellow, just like I love ‘em, and the first coat went on rather sheer, the second went on nicely – so you need 2 or 3 coats depending on how thin or tick you apply your polish. It dries rather slowly but has a nice shine, I am however showing it with a coat of Seche Vite.

Arrghh in the last coat the brush started shedding several hairs at a time, and they would just break like they were dissolved – weird thing in this old polish LOL
You actually can see them in the bottle on some photos...

Picture Polish Sorbet swatches

It's Friday morning and still summer, so I still have some pastel yellows to show you, today it's Picture Polish Sorbet!

Picture Polish Sorbet is one of the Standard Shades and was released in 2015. It is a beautiful pastel yellow creme with a lovely formula. It is surprisingly opaque in the first coat, but this is two with a coat of Seche Vite.

I have seen many swatches of this with a slight green hue – the reason why I didn’t buy it. In the bottle is does have that hue, but dry on the nails it’s a perfect pastel yellow!

Pretty Serious Litle Duckling swatches

OK, it Friday morning - and time for another pastel yellow ;)
And a very gorgeous one in my opinion...

Pretty Serious Little Duckling is from the Pastel Pet Names collection. It’s a very, very beautiful and bright cold lemon pastel yellow. It has a super nice formula, and you see it in two coats with a coat of Seche Vite.

This is a pastel yellow right after my heart...

Depend Lemonade Festival swatches

Friday morning and still summer, well you guessed it: Another pastel yellow ;)

Depend Lemonade Festival is a beautiful pale pastel yellow, cold-toned like I prefer them. It was somewhat sheer in the first coat and a bit runny, but 2-3 coats are enough. I did apply an extra for these photos and a coat of Seche Vite.

I hate small bottles like this – my hand pose looks terrible :D

Moyra Limoncello 622 swatches

The summer weeks fly - and it's Friday morning, so yes, time for another pastel yellow!

Moyra Limoncello 622 is a slightly warm-toned pastel yellow, very pretty. The formula is really nice and it dries matte. Two coats are enough, but I added an extra for these photos + a coat of Seche Vite.

Isadora City Light 237 swatches

Even if I am having kind of a blog vacation with only one daily post - the pastel Friday mornings goes on ;)

Isadora City Light 237 is from their Gel Lacquer line. It’s a warm toned pastel yellow (I prefer them colder), but pretty anyhow. The formula is nice and two coats are enough, but because of my ridges I added an extra + a coat of Seche Vite.

Do you like this warm-toned pastel yellow - or do you also prefer the colder-toned..?

It's Friday morning - it's summer and that means...?
Yes, another pastel yellow :D

China Glaze Girls Just Wanna Have Sun is from the House of Color spring 2016 collection. It’s a soft pastel yellow, more like a cream kind of shade with a dash of yellow. The formula is nice and it was surprisingly opaque in one coat, but this is two with a coat of Seche Vite.

I think it's rather pretty - what do you think?

Fancy Gloss Lemon Pie swatches

It's Friday morning - it's summer, and yes, it is time for another pastel yellow ;)

Fancy Gloss Lemon Pie is a bright, cold-toned pastel yellow – really pretty! The formula is lovely to work with, opaque in one coat, but because of my ridges I chose to show it in two coats + a coat of Seche Vite.

MAC Near Beth Experience swatches

It's Friday morning = pastel yellow :)
But it's the last Friday in August and summer soon is over....
Of my approximately 90 pastel yellows (not counting the 10 that are almost pastels) I only need to show you 8 more.
Therefore I have decided to save them for next summer, and hopefully by then I have gotten even more pastel yellows - you could help me find some, please ;)
In September all Friday mornings will however still be kind of pastel!
I have prepared 4 swatch spam posts with each 3 or 4 pastel or bright polishes; I hope you like the idea!

MAC Near Beth Experience is from the summer 2012 Mac Beth Ditto collection. It is a delightful and fairly pale pastel yellow cream with a nice formula. This is 3 easy coats without a top coat.

Rica Mellow Yellow swatches

Yes, it is Friday morning again, so what do you want...?

Ah yes, another pastel yellow ;)

Rica Mellow Yellow is a stamping polish and very opaque. You easily can get away with one coat, but because of my heavy ridges, I’m showing it in two without a top coat. It is a gorgeous pastel yellow with a great self-leveling ability, just like I love them!

Julep Blake swatches

It is summer a little while longer – here in Denmark is was cold and wet most of the time. But let’s continue with the pastel yellow Friday mornings just a little while longer…

Julep Blake is a really pretty yellow cream. The formula is nice, maybe just a little bit runny, but not at all streaky, and the self-leveling ability is really nice. For normal use two coats might be enough, but I added an extra for these photos + a coat of Seche Vite. 

It was my first Julep, and I really like the formula - and this beautiful pastel yellow of course...
