Chanel Cristalline 25 + Cristalline Opal swatches

Today I have Chanel Cristalline 25 (made in France) on my index and ring finger and Cristalline Opal (made in USA) on the middle finger and the pinkie.

They are of unknown age, but old, and maybe they were released at the same time.

Both are sheer pearlescent polishes with a gorgeous pink shimmer, it does seem as the Made in USA version is a bit more opaque and a little less yellow-toned, but my half bottle of Cristalline 25 might have been thinned by an previous owner – or maybe the same pigments weren’t available/allowed in both countries – who knows...
For normal nails 1-2-3 coats are enough depending on how sheer you wanted the look, but with my super ridged nails I had to go for full opacity, so this is 4 coats.

Ms. Sparkle Spencer swatches

Ms. Sparkle Polish Spencer is from the Pretty Little Liars inspired collection. It’s a dark royal blue holo and it made me think of the deep ocean. This is two easy coats with a coat of Seche Vite.

Ms. Sparkle Bite Me swatches

Ms. Sparkle Polish Bite Me is from the Anti Valentine collection. It’s a magenta leaning red jelly with a slight purple color shift and copper/red/gold ucc flakies. This is two easy coats with a coat of Seche Vite – on its own it dries semi-matte.

Above The Curve Crunchy Leaves and Sweater Weather swatches

Today I have two polishes from the Above The Curve Best Things About Fall 2014 collection.

Crunchy Leaves:

Above The Curve Crunchy Leaves is a beautiful wine red holo with golden flakies. It is fairly opaque in one coat, but this is two with a coat of Seche Vite. 

Sweater Weather:

Above The Curve Sweater Weather is a gorgeous red-toned purple holo with micro flakies in pink and blue, especially the pink ones almost gives the finish a duochrome effect. It is fairly opaque in one coat, but this is two with a coat of Seche Vite.

I like both - but Sweater Weather a bit more!

My stamping journey - part 10

It's Thursday afternoon, and that means more stamping manis - this time take 46 to 50.

Take 46:

Take 46: Base Illamasqua Ouija stamped with Celestial Cosmetics Blood Moon Rising, plate MoYou London Pro XL13, stamper MoYou London XL Marshmallow Sticky.

Note to myself: I loved the color combination, but the mystery of the not filled out petals continues on both the index and middle finger…

Take 47:

Take 47: Base Illamasqua Caress stamped with Rica Hello Gorgeous, plate Cici & Sisi acrylic plate Spring 03, stamper Marianne Nails Jumbo Clear Jelly (exactly the same as the Daschica).

Note to myself: The pattern on the ring finger should have been placed more straight, but all in all I love the finished result!

Take 48:

Take 48: Base Polished For Days Very Berry Christmas stamped with Colour Alike B. a Fairy Forest, plate Cici & Sisi acrylic plate Spring 04, stamper Marianne Nails Jumbo Clear Jelly (exactly the same as the Daschica).

Note to myself: I dotted some/most of the flowers with Cupcake Polish Elizabeth (gold holo) in the center, not super visible in real life. I liked this mani!

Take 49:

Take 49: Base Enchanted Polish Telenovela stamped with MoYou London Rosy Ribbon, plate Marianne Nails 50, stamper Marianne Nails Jumbo Clear Jelly (exactly the same as the Daschica).

Note to myself: Not bad!

Take 50:

Take 50: Base Picture Polish Forget Me Not stamped with Colour Alike Kind of White, plate Marianne Nails 103, stamper MoYou London XL Marshmallow Sticky.
Note to myself: I originally were going to use my Konad White, but then changed to the more opacque (but also more tricky CA cream polish, so the stamping could have been more crisp, much more crisp. But I’m a sucker for blue and white combos, and I loved this mani, it was much prettier in person/not enlarged like on photos LOL

I loved take 47 and 48, and in person also take 50!
