Golden flowers on sun pearls

The base color is Kiko 430 Chili Pepper Red from the Sun Pearl coll. from my swap with Denise
It’s a gorgeous red with heavy golden shimmer, it could be a red version of China Glaze Riveting.
I wanted to match the gold, so I used metallic gold acrylic craft paint for the flowers – and top coated with Seche Vite.

Gina Tricot swatches: Shimmery Mint, Lemon and Candy Mint

Today I have swatches of 3 Gina Trico polishes, left to right: Shimmery Mint, Lemon and Candy Mint.
They are shown without a top coat, the formula is easy to work with on all of them, the dry time was OK, not super quick, but also not slow. But having used 2 of these as a base color for nail art, that I wore many days, I have to say words that not come abundantly from me, that I am super impressed by the quality/wear...!!
Gina Tricot by the way is fashion, makeup and accessories - I have a pair of Gina Tricot glasses too.

This is 2 coats of Gina Tricot 130 Shimmery Mint - I love the subtle gold shimmer in it...

Gina Tricot 131 Lemon could no have had a more appropriate name, it is a perfect lemon color. This is 3 coats, but if you do not have ridges, two coats is enough.

Finally we have 2 coats of Gina Tricot 125 Candy Mint, and inspite of the name this is a bright, clear pastel blue, I love it!

Final thoughts: I was very, very pleasantly surprised by these fairly inexpensive polishes. I have so far used both Candy Mint and Shimmery Mint as the base for nail art - and for several days without chipping or tip wear at all, I am impressed...

Do you like them?
And do you own any Gina Tricot polishes?

The Never Ending Haul Story - Special Edition: German nail mail

The Never Ending Haul Story does continue with a part 2 later on - this is a special edition, because Wednesday last week I got massive nail mail from Germany....

First let's have a group shot of each of them...

My first swap with Denise
A while back one of my sweet German readers, Denise, contacted me because she saw that I needed one of the polishes from the Catrice Candy Shock Coll.
We started writing, and decided to do a swap - with more to come in the future - and that's a total win-win situation for me, because we also became friends :)
Denise doesn't call it a blog, I think I will ;) - CLICK HERE to see her pretty mani's on Tumblr....

I won the Gewinnspiel on Elenas blog Pictured Tinsel
Elena owns the blog Pictured Tinsel and she shows a lot of beautiful swatches (please take a look) on her perfect, long nails, actually my search on Google for Priti Nyc swatches repeatedly brought me to her blog, so I become a follower on GFC, and better still, we soon became friends!
Well back to the story!
As it happens to many of us Elena's stash of polishes also grows. And some times we have to let go of some that we already swatched - so Elena got the great idea to host a Gewinspiel - a kind of a giveaway for 12 of her Priti Nyc polishes, that she already swatched. I love the idea to give away slightly used polishes for a new home! And guess what - I was the lucky winner :)

OK, let's have a closer look of the swap polishes that Denise sent :)
The entire Me & My Ice Cream coll. from Essence, they were on my wish list and I showed you swatches yesterday...

The P2 Pool Side Party coll.  except a peach, that I didn't wan't...

Some of the polishes from the 2 latest collections from Isadora, that I had on my wish list - yayyy...

Two gorgeous polishes from Essence Show Your Feet coll. - 2 extra P2 Glamorous Finish TC "It's just fantastic!" - I love it and wanted to bave extra back-ups - and also from my wish list Anny Surfing Crocodile...

Denise met these little pastels from Claire's and they wouldn't let her leave the shop without buying them for me ;) - and a Claires Holographic glitter top coat that I also had on my wish list jumped in the shopping bag too ;)

A beautiful pastel blue from BeYu, 2 gorgeous Kiko's and 2 NCLA's from my wish list :)

And a few extra yellow polishes to feed my addiction ;)

OK, let's have a closer look at the Prti Nyc's (I love that brand) from Elena...
Left to right: St. Catherine's Lace, Silver Torch, King Georg Aster and Bristol Fairy
Very pretty pastels, you know I love those, right ;) - left to right: Day Flower, Glory Bush, Sky Waltz Delphinium and September Charm

Left to right: Riding Hood Tulip, Fairys Petticoat (might be a nude that I can wear), Fairy Moss and Moonstone Cactus

I feel like a very, very lucky girl, do you agree...?

Essence Me & My Ice Cream Coll. swatches:

Today I have the 4 polishes from Essence Me & My Ice Cream collection summer 2013 to show you! They all have a gorgeous shimmer and are slightly pearlescent, the fomula and the dry time are good...

02 Always In My Mint is a very pale mint, here shown in 3 coats...

01 Ben & Cherries, 2 coats, is a soft, pale pink, very feminine and sweet...

03 Ice, Ice Baby, 3 coats, is a soft lavender leaning towards pink - it's my favorite in this collection.

04 Icylicious (2 coats) is a soft and fairly pale peach, not my color - but pretty non the less!

Have you picked up any of this collection - and what do you think of it...?

Delush Finding Mr. Bright swatches

Delush Finding Mr. Bright is a shimmery - almost a little pearlescent light green and very summer appropriate.
It is shown in two coats - without a top coat. It's easy to apply, but is slightly prone to brush strokes, and the dry time is OK.

Delush Finding Mr. Bright was sent from Edgy Polish for me to revie!

Flowers on star dust and candy

Super silly name – and not very pretty work either, actually I didn’t like it. I was super busy in the days after, so I did kind of get used to it LOL
The base color is the lovely Gina Trico Candy Mint, and I added a coat of Misslyn Star Dust (very visible in person) before I painted the flowers with acrylic craft color and top coated with Seche Vite.
I was by the way very pleasantly surprised by the quality of Gina tricot, it didn’t chip at all, and I’ll soon show you my 3 Gina Trico polishes as swatches…
