Chanel Sugar Gloss 173 and Abricot Gloss 175, 2005 - Collaboration Saturday

It's time for a new Collaboration Saturday together with my friend Elena from PicturedTinsel!

Chanel Sugar Gloss 173 and Abricot Gloss 175 were released for summer 2005. They are what suddenly became a novelty in the polish world in 2014: Tints – BUT these are 9 years older, and I have some that are even older – so this is another good example of how often Chanel have been trend creators.

You can use them on their own as a discrete fresh-up of the nail in one coat, or more – or you can use them as tints over another polish, preferably white.

But I don’t have ridges and slightly stained nails, so for me they are best over white. On my index I’m showing 3 coats of Sugar Gloss and on my middle finger 3 coats of Abricot Gloss – no top coat. On my ring finger and pinky I used them as tints over white, and I also used a black striper and top coat on these two fingers.

So - isn't it fun to think that Chanel made tints looong before it became "in"?
I wonder what Elena  has for us today, shall we have a look?

MOD Lacquer High Strangeness swatches

MOD Lacquer High Strangeness is a silvery pale lavender holo with a super strong effect both in the sun, in artificial light and it’s visible in most light settings. It’s easy to work with, and this is 2 coats with a coat of Seche Vite!

Bear Pawlish Betty Lou Got Her Wings swatches

Bear Pawlish Betty Lou Got Her Wings was created when Tennessee lost her grandmother, and this polish is inspired by her. In Tennessee’s own words it’s an icy baby blue, deep like her eyes super holographic to express her spirit and shimmers in rose and lavender to tribute her love of roses and flowers.
It's easy to work with, and I’m wearing two coats for these photos.

F.U.N Lacquer Reunion (H) swatches

F.U.N Lacquer Reunion (H) is from the New Year 2015 collection – and it’s pure WOW material, a multichrome with added holographic micro glitters.
It’s the holo version of the original Reunion and it shifts between purples, blues reds, orange, gold, olive green and then some – and the the holo micro glitters sparkle like crazy in basically all light setting – believe me, you will not regret buying it! It’s easy to work with and you see 2 coats and a coat of Seche Vite.

I truly is an amazing polish - super, super sparkly and gorgeous!

MOD Lacquer Clandestine swatches

MOD Lacquer Clandestine is a teal-leaning turquoise holo with a super strong effect both in the sun, in artificial light and it’s visible in most light settings. It’s easy to work with, and this is 2 coats with a coat of Seche Vite!

Bear Pawlish Supernatural swatches

Bear Pawlish Supernatural is a pitch black holo – the by most black holo I own. The holo effect is super strong in the sun, strong in artificial light and visible in most light settings – the photos do not do it justice. You see it in 2 easy coats with a coat of Seche Vite.
