Lilypad Lacquer You Got My Attention

An extra post this evening!
This polish was sent for review from Katarina from EdgyPolish – remember she has worldwide delivery!

Lilypad Lacquer You Got My Attention is a bright medium purple scattered holo with rainbow flakies. It really glisten in the sun – but the effect is also very visible in artificial lights. The first coat made me think it was sheer, but the second coat proved me wrong. So this is 2 easy coats with a coat of Seche Vite.
What do you think?

Chanel Intemporel and comparisons swatches - Collaboration Saturday

It's time again, yes, it's a new Collaboration Saturday together with my friend Elena from PicturedTinsel!
Chanel Intemporel is the only polish in the Les Intemporels de Chanel collection, spring 2015, a tribute to the wonderful 2.55 Chanel bag. It's limited and only sold in selected stores.
I think many of us had hoped it would be the famous Silver – see it HERE, or a silver with the same perfect brush stroke free foil finish as finish. BUT no such luck!
The silver shade is very close/the same, but the finish isn’t, on the contrary it’s very prone to brush strokes. Just like when I swatched Silver I left my previous nail polish underneath as metallics/foils show any imperfection of the nail, and with ridges like mine it’s either that or many coats of ridge filler. You see two coats (it’s very opaque in one) with a coat of Seche Vite, as I hoped it would lessen the brush strokes just a little bit.
So - I like the shade of silver, but I'm so disappointed that Chanel goes on making brush-stroke-y polishes, because they CAN, Silver was such a fabulous formula...
Let's see the comparisons:
As you can see the difference between the finish of Intemporel and Silver is remarkable! The Old Mercure 06 is a shimmer, so the finish is of course different, but the shade of silver is close.

Now, let's see I Elena has for us!!

Lilypad Lacquer Midnight Sapphire swatches

Lilypad Lacquer Midnight Sapphire is a muted and slightly smoky steel blue holo, a bit too grey toned for me. This is 2 easy coats with a coat of Seche Vite…
Do you like it?

Elevation Polish Grotte Et Cascade swatches

Elevation Polish Grotte Et Cascade is a dark chocolate brown polish with pink, blue, bronze, gold and bronze shimmers/flakies – but blue and purple dominates. It is super opaque in one coat, but this is two with a coat of Seche Vite. The formula is nice to work with and the dry time is good.
I love the shimmers/flakies - but truth been told it's on the edge of my darkness comfort zone...
How do you feel about dark shades like this one?

Cupcake Polish Next Taupe Model and Rusting Over A Boy, Falling Back In Time coll. swatches

Tuesday I showed Neither Here Noir There and Remembering Blue, click HERE, and today I’m showing the two last of my picks from the Cupcake Falling Back In Time collection from fall 2014.

Next Taupe Model:
Cupcake Polish Next Taupe Model is a dusky purple holo with copper shimmers. The holo effect is super strong in the sun and visible in low and artificial lights.

Rusting Over A Boy:
Cupcake Polish Rusting Over A Boy is a rusty or copper or rose golden holo with lots of golden shimmer and a touch of flakies. It’s described as a rusty orange, but I disagree. It’s very opaque in one coat, but this is two with a coat of Seche Vite.
What do you think?
Of the 4 shown from this collection my favorite is Next Taupe Model...

Starrily Milky Way swatches

Starrily Milky Way is a blue leaning purple loaded with holo micro glitters that sparkles like crazy – this is seriously a highly distracting WOW polish! The application is easy and the dry time is somewhat slow, so you don’t want too rich coats just like I always do. The finish is not gritty, but a top coat enhances it’s beauty. This is two easy coats with a coat of Seche Vite, and it wasn’t too difficult to remove.
As you know glitters normally isn't my thing - BUT when we are talking holo micro glitters, then I'm in, and I absolutely LOVE this one!!!
