Micro Painting Monday - 12

"Snowdrops vs. 2" is the first set this Micro Painting Monday # 12. The sky is holographic (Color Club Over The Moon), they are some of the newest paintings...

"Orange flowers on green" is the second set - unfortunately I could not figure out how to color correct this on, it is a stronger green with a blue hue, but not teal - very beautiful...

Finally we have "Vines on holographic sand"...
My store Micropaintings by Maria is not yet open - but I am working on it :)
In the mean time I would be very happy if you visited my Facebook page - see link at the right side of the blog, or click HERE - and please click on the like button right under the banner!!!

  5. These are amazing! How do you paint so tiny flowers?

    1. Aww, thank you Lani, I don't really know, I guess small movements and a perfect brush!

      Slet
    2. I really need some small brushes. Do you have one or some brushes to recommend? Which brush do you feel is the perfect brush?

      Slet
    3. For me a brush that has 12 mm long bristles is the best - I don't care about the size, I often use a size 1 that I cut back to fit my purpose - first I take of half, then another half - so left is a quarter - but in full length in the hairs - does that make sense..?

      Slet
    4. Thank you very much for answering!!! :-) I think I understood, but I'm not sure. So you don't cut the length, but you thin the widh to a quarter, so that the hairs are still 1,2 cm long?

      Slet
    5. Yes, that is exactly right :)
If it is a size 0 brush, I only cut half - and in the beginning it's a good thing to cut a little less, try the brush, and then cut some more, until it's just right for you. I never use my acrylic paint brushes for polish, and I rinse in running water (glass of water can do too) immediately after use. Your brush/es is/are your best friend/s :)

      Slet
    6. Now I understand. I will try it, and stop using my brushes for both polish and acrylic paint. I used to think that I would need a brush with hard hairs, (I mean not soft hairs) to be able to have more control over the brush (if you understand what I mean). I hope my brushes will turn into best friends too :-) I don't know how to thank you enough

    7. The brush should feel "alive" and move at the slightest movement you do - how to thank me: paint and feel happy :) -and ask again, if you need more answers :)
