The
theme in our Artsy Wednesday is this week Independence Day – and my
interpretation is my national background - I have chosen to paint flags a
little twist.
I live
in Denmark and am a Danish citizen – thus my index.
My
parents both were from Finland – thus my middle finger.
I was
born in Sweden – thus my ring finger.
My
surname from birth is German and still is. My grandfather moved as a young
man from Germany to Finland – so I painted the German flag on my pinkie.

Temaet i Artsy Wednesday i denne uge er Independence Day,
hvilket bl.a. også kan fortolkes som nationalfølelse – og jeg har malet flag med et lille twist.
Jeg bor i Danmark og er dansk statsborger – min
pegefinger.
Mine forældre kom fra Finland – min langemand.
Jeg blev født i Sverige – min ringfinger.
Mit efternavn er og har altid været tysk, idet min farfar
som ung flyttede fra Tyskland til Finland – derfor har jeg det tyske flag på
lillefingeren.
Used colors/brugte farver: China Glaze Hey Sailor, OPI Alpine Snow, Nails Inc. Baker Street, acrylic color.

SletLove your Swedish flag inspiration esp since I am Swedish (but live in California now). My heart and eye are always fond of blue with yellow/white.
