Models Own swatch spam: Deep Purple, Purple Imperial, Purple Mystique and Purple Passion

Here you have 4 purple polishes from Models Own, 3 of them are however retired/discontinued:

Deep Purple is a retired duochrome blackened purple with a shift to lighter purple and a hint of a dark teal leaning green. It is very opaque in 1 coat, but this is 2 without a top coat.

Purple Imperial:

Purple Imperial is still available; it comes from the Kaleidoscope collection. It’s a mid purple with a very shiny, kind of metallic finish. This is 2 coats, no top coat.

Purple Mystique:

Purple Mystique is a retired dark royal purple shimmer, maybe not unique, but always very pretty. It is very opaque in 1 coat, but this is 2 without a top coat.

Purple Passion:

Purple Passion is a retired red toned magenta leaning purple with a semi matte rubber finish. 2 coats would be enough for normal use, but this is 3 coats without a top coat.

Models Own HyperGel swatches: Cornflower Gleam and Lilac Sheen

This post brings you two of the HyperGel polishes from Models Own.

The formula is really nice to work with and the dry time is really good. Both are shown in 2 easy coats.

Cornflower Gleam:

Cornflower Gleam is beautiful cornflower blue – and this exact nuance is my favorite blue, it makes me go ahhh, ooooh etc.

Lilac Sheen:

Lilac Sheen is a pastel lilac, very straightforward and pretty.

Models Own swatches: Feeling Blue, Prussian Blue and Top Turquoise

Feeling Blue is a sky blue cream. It is very opaque in one coat, but this is two coats with a top coat. 

Prussian Blue:

Prussian Blue is a navy blue cream. One coat would definitely be enough, but this is 2 coats without a top coat, the finish is semi matte/rubbery. 

Top Turquoise:

Top Turquoise is a dusty, teal leaning turquoise cream. It is very opaque in one coat, but this is two coats with a top coat. 

I'm afraid all of these have been retired - do you own any of them/how do you like them?

Purple roses and glitter in my banana split

While I'm enjoying my last day as "teenager", busy preparing for tomorrow, I thought you might not yet be completely fed up with roses and pastel yellow ;)

The base color is Models Own scented Banana Split, a pale pastel yellow. I felt like painting roses, so I grabbed a bunch of acrylic craft colors and went ahead. I ended up with a fabric-like look, and before I top coated with Seche Vite I used a coat of P2 Glamorous Finish Holo top coat 040 Just Fantastic!

Mens jeg nyder min sidste dag som "teenager" og har travlt med forberedelserne til i morgen, tænkte jeg at i måske endnu ikke var helt trætte af roser og pastel gul ;)

Grundfarven er Models Own Banana Split, en pastel gul lak med duft. Jeg havde lyst til at male roser, so jeg greb nogle akrylfarver og gik i gang. Jeg endte op med et stof-print look, og før jeg topcoatede med Seche Vite, brugte jeg et lag P2 Glamorous Finish Holo top coat 040 Just Fantastic!

Vines for Beth – long lasting mani including photos after 11 days of wear

 

 

The base color is my beloved Models Own Beth’s Blue, and I have previously shown it with other flowers – but now I do it again, this time vines with flowers. They are painted with acrylic craft color and the top coat is Seche Vite.
I wore this mani 12 days 8 on vacation and a few days after – as usual I followed the steps in THIS tutorial for a long lasting manicure. I had one minor touch up repair on one nail during the vacation.

Grundfarven er Models Own Beth’s Blue, som jeg holder så meget af, og jeg har før vist den med blomster – og det gør jeg så igen, blot med en anden slags blomster. Jeg malede dem med akrylfarve før jeg lagde toplakken, der som sædvanligt er Seche Vite.

Jeg havde denne mani på i 12 dage, 8 dage på ferie + nogle dage derefter – og som sædvanligt fulgte jeg trinnene i DENNE vejledning til en langtidsholdbar manicure. Jeg havde en mindre reperation med en lille dråbe lak på en negl i løbet af ferien.

The theme in this Artsy Wednesday is pastels…
The colors I used are all Models Own. Thumb: Beth’s Blue from the “Ice Cream Sundae” collection, the rest is from the scented collection “Fruit Pastels” index: Banana Split, middle: Apple Pie, ring: Blueberry Muffin, little: Grape Juice.

I painted flower vines in pink and white using craft acrylic paints. The top coat is Seche Vite.

Models Own Fruit Pastels vs. Ice Cream Sundae, swatches and comparison

Today I'll show you 4 of the 5 scented Models Own Fruit Pastels - and I will do a comparison with the similar colors from last years Ice Cream Sundae collection. 

Thumb: Beth’s Blue from the “Ice Cream Sundae” collection, the rest are from the scented collection “Fruit Pastels” index: Banana Split, middle: Apple Pie, ring: Blueberry Muffin, little: Grape Juice. 

All are shown in 2 coats and without any top coat.

No dupes here - and I love them all, so I'm happy!!
Normally I do not like scented polishes, but these are actually OK. The Apple Pie and Blueberry Muffin has the strongest scent, and the scent stays in the polish even after a few days.
