Wild orchids on Mellow Yellow

 

 

 

It was in the end of May, and I woke during the night with the vision of flowers painted like this :) The base color is Essence 51 Mellow Yellow, and before painting the flowers in acrylic color I sponged the tips with Nubar Reclaim. They made me think of a protected wild orchid (Dactylorhiza maculata) called Gøgeurt in Danish, comes in a few sub species.
I must admit: I was pretty pleased about this one!!
Fun fact: Raggio de Luna doesn't really like yellow, but immediately when she saw my swatches of this color she wrote: "you ARE going to put some tiny little flowers on it, yes?" - and since every flower is very tiny, I had to ask her if she had access to my computer LOL - so these are kind of for you Tanja!

Det var I slutningen af maj, og jeg vågnede en nat med ideen til at lave blomster som disse :)

Grundfarven er Essence 51 Mellow Yellow, og før jeeg malede blomsterne med akrylfarve duppede jeg spidsen af neglene med Nubar Reclaim. Blomsterne fik mig til at tænke på den vilde orkide Gøgeurt (Dactylorhiza maculata), som vi har i området, og som findes i forskellige underarter.

The exhausted little mouse finally fell asleep again, and soon she was in the middle of another dream. She was in the enchanted forest, that only mice know about and where the magic flowers grow. She picked a bouquet for the family in the little cottage, in which her mouse hole is. In the enchanted forest nothing bad can happen to mice, so when she saw the owl again, she was not afraid. Finally her little body relaxed and she fell in a deep dreamless sleep the rest of the night.

Den lille udmattede mus faldt omsider i søvn igen, og inden ret længe var hun midt i en ny drøm. Hun var i den fortryllede skov, som kun mus kender til, og hvor de magiske blomster vokser. Hun plukkede en buket til familien i den lille hytte i skoven, som hun deler bolig med. Der kan ikke ske mus noget ondt i den fortryllede skov, så da hun så uglen igen, var hun ikke bange. Til slut slappede hendes lille musekrop helt af, og hun faldt i en dyb, drømmeløs søvn resten af natten.

The base color is 1 coat of Nubar Reclaim and the one stroke flowers are my first try on nails and painted with red, black and gold acrylic paint. The center of the flowers is dotted with China Glaze Blonde Bombshell. The top coat is Seche Vite. And yes, I reused the owl ;)

Grundfarven er Nubar Reclaim og “one stroke” blomsterne er mit første forsøg på negle (har øvet på papir), og jeg har brugt rød, sort og guld acryl farve. Blomsternes midte har jeg dottet på med China Glaze Blonde Bombshell, og jeg har brugt Seche Vite som top coat. Og ja, jeg genbrugte uglen ;)
