Hiding in purple

 

 

It’s a long time since I last did a Hiding in X mani, and I felt like doing a purple version, a camouflage in which I used various purples, and the lightest one is the base color, namely Kiko 330. I used a dotting tool to place the other colors, and I top coated with inm Northern Lights Hologram Top Coat in Gold.

Det er frygtelig længe siden jeg sidst viste en Hiding in X manicure, og nu havde jeg lige lyst til at lave en i lilla, en kamuflage i forskellige lilla farver. Den lyseste er grundfarven, nemlig Kiko 330. Jeg brugte et dotting tool til at placere de andre farver, og jeg brugte inm Northern Lights Hologram Top Coat in Gold som toplak.

Black, red, gold dotticure

 

The black color is A-England Camelot and the red dots are made with a dotting tool and Butter London Knees Up – and the gold is Orly Glitz & Glamour. The top coat is of course Seche Vite.

Grundfarven er den sorte A-England Camelot og de røde prikker er lavet med et dotting tool og Butter London Knees Up – og guldprikkerne er lavet med Orly Glitz & Glamour. Toplakken er Seche Vite.

A super quick mani, that has been in my draft folder since January with snow on the ground - time to post it before snow is here again LOL...
Maybelline Color Sensation Green Beetle 805 inspired me to do a simple row of dots with Orly Glitz & Glamour and a dotting tool, and I finished off with Seche Vite a top coat.

En super hurtig mani, der har ligget som kladde siden januar med sne på jorden, det er på tide at poste den, iden der igen kommer sne... ;)

Maybelline Color Sensation Green Beetle 805 is a shimmer polish and it’s easy to understand, why it got this name, it could easily be a shimmery beetle wing. It’s a beautiful dark shimmery green, easy to apply, and it dries quickly with a shiny finish. 2 coats gives full opacity, no top coat is used on these photos.

Maybelline Color Sensation Green Beetle 805 er en shimmer lak, og det er let at forstå, hvorfor den fik dette navn, for farven minder om en glinsende billevinge. Det er en smuk mørk skinnende grøn, den er let at påføre, tørrer hurtigt og har en skinnende finish. 2 lag dækker helt, og der er ikke brugt toplak på disse billeder.

Pastel dotticure

 

 

The base color is Essence Destination Sunshine (Ready for boarding coll.) and with different sizes of dotting tools I created this pastel dotticure with Essie Lovie Dovie + Bikini So Teeny and Shimmer Heather (green). Maybe it became just a little to “busy” to look at, but still I liked it and the color combo. Top coat? – you guessed it: Seche Vite…

Grundfarven er Essence Destination Sunshine (Ready for boarding coll.), og ved hjælp af forskellige størrelser af dotting tools lavede jeg denne pastel ”dotticure” med at dotte med Essie Lovie Dovie + Bikini So Teeny and Shimmer Heather (grøn).

Måske blev den lidt urolig at se på, men jeg kunne nu godt li’ farvekombinationen. Toplakken? – du gættede det: Seche Vite ;)

Hiding in the Greyscale

 

 

In my series of Hiding in X I chose to do the greyscale!
The base color is A-England Camelot and I created the camouflage pattern with a dotting tool and OPI Alpine Snow, China Glaze Concrete Catwalk (the very dark grey), Essie Cocktail Bling and P2 Arctic (the super pale grey). The top coat is Seche Vite.

Grundfarven er A-England Camelot og ved hjælp af et dotting tool malede jeg kamuflagemønsteret med følgende lakker: Alpine Snow, China Glaze Concrete Catwalk (den meget mørkegrå), Essie Cocktail Bling and P2 Arctic (den super lyse grå). Toplakken er Seche Vite.

Dotting tools only - Artsy Wednesday

This week’s challenge in Artsy Wednesday is a mani decorated with dotting tool/s only. You basically can paint anything with a dotting tool that you can with a brush, personally I like to use both because the brush is more willing to do some of the work for you…

Denne uges udfordring i Artsy Wednesday er en manicure dekoreret med et eller flere dotting tools. Man kan stort set male det samme med et dotting tool som man kan med en pensel. Personligt kan jeg li’ at bruge begge dele fordi penslen overtager en del af arbejdet…

For me the finer details are easier obtained with a brush vs. a dotting tool, but that was a no-go in this challenge - for mig er de finere detaljer lettere at male med en pensel frem for et dottingttol, men det gik jo ikke i denne udfordring.

The base color is a neon polish, China Glaze Flying Dragon, and I painted the flowers using a dotting tool and acrylic color. The top coat is Seche Vite.

Hiding in Skittles - Artsy Wednesday

 

I guess it’s a sign that you are old, when you have to Google the word Skittles to learn what it is… :)

They are this week’s challenge in Artsy Wednesday, and I realized that they would fit right in to my “Hiding in X” series. I tried to find the polishes closest to the photos of Skittles that I found on the internet, and the green and the orange could have been closer, but I guess that means I do not have enough polishes – right???

I started out with painting my nails white with OPI Alpine snow, and then I dotted the Skittles with China Glaze: Turned Up Turquise (greenish) + Sunshine Pop (yellow) + Hey Sailor (red), Orly Orange Punch and Absolute Nails Precious. Finally I top coated.

It was a fun and bright mani to wear on a rainy day…

Det er nok et tegn på, at man er gammel, når man er nødt til at Google ordet Skittles for at finde ud af hvad det er :) 

De er denne uges udfordring i Artsy Wednesday, og jeg tænkte hurtigt at de ville passe perfekt ind i min ”Hiding in x” camouflage serie. Jeg prøvede at finde de lakker, der var tættest på de billeder jeg havde fundet af Skittles, men den grønne og den orange kunne havde været bedre, men det er jo bare et tegn på, at jeg har for få neglelakker, ikke…?

Jeg startede med et lag OPI Alpine snow, og derefter dottede jeg Skittles med China Glaze: Turned Up Turquise (greenish) + Sunshine Pop (yellow) + Hey Sailor (red), Orly Orange Punch og Absolute Nails Precious. Til sidst lagde jeg toplak!

Det var et sjovt og farverigt design, som jeg lavede en grå og regnfuld dag…

 

Messy Mesmerize abstract mani

 

 

The base color is one coat of the very well pigmented, beautiful blue Essie Mesmerize, and then I chose 3 colors to sponge and dot on it: Essie Mint Candy Apple, Essie Cocktail Bling and OPI Alpine Snow. It’s totally unpredictable and not at all planned – and it was fun and bright to wear – do you like it as abstract nail art – or is it just a total mess to you – be honest??

Grundfarven er et lag af den meget velpigmenterede og smukke Essie Mezmerize, og derefter valgte jeg 3 farver som jeg duppede på: Essie Mint Candy Apple, Essie Cocktail Bling og OPI Alpine Snow. Det er helt uforudsigeligt og uplanlagt – og det var sjovt at have denne mani på med dens klare farver. Kan du li’ den som abstrakt nail art – eller synes du bare det er en gang rod – vær ærlig??

Hiding in metal

 

In my “Hiding in X” series I this time decided to give the metallic colors a go. The base color is China Glaze Midnight Kiss (pale gold), and for the camouflage pattern I used a dotting tool and China Glaze Icicle (silver) + Awaken (gunmetal grey) + Cross Iron (rust/red copper), OPI, Pros & Bronze and Orly Glitz & Glamour (warm gold), and finally I top coated.

I min “Hinding in X” serie har jeg denne gang besluttet at bruge metalfarver. Grundfarven er China Glaze Midnight Kiss (bleg guld), og til kamouflage mønsteret brugte jeg et dotting tool og China Glaze Icicle (sølv) + Awaken (stålgrå) + Cross Iron (rust/rød kobber), OPI Pros & Bronze og Orly Glitz & Glamour (varm guld), og til slut lagde jeg toplak.

Triangular daisies on Blue Year’s Eve

 

 

The base color is China Glaze Blue Year’s Eve. With a dotting tool I dotted a triangle of golden dots starting from the base of the nail with Orly Glitz & Glamous. Then I painted the daisies with acrylic paint – and I top coated with Seche Vite.

It was the mani I did on the 21.th of april, when I took a blog leave, and I wore it for 10 days with only a light tip wear, I’ll make a separate post about this subject on Tuesday.

Grundfarven er China Glaze Blue Year’s Eve. Med et dotting tool prikkede jeg en gylden trekant startende ved neglebåndet med Orly Glitz & Glamour. Til sidst lagde jeg Seche Vite toplak.

Det var den manicure jeg lavede den 21.04. hvor jeg holdt blog fri, og den holdt i 10 dage med kun let slitage på tipperne, jeg laver et indlæg om emnet med tips og tricks på tirsdag.

Spring abstract on Trout Pout

I simply felt like going crazy with a sponge and a dotting tool, and as I have been walking around Butter London Trout Pout considering some nail art on it – I decided to use it. With a makeup sponge I dabbed random areas with Essie Dive Bar (the very dark blue), Butter London Slapper (teal) and China Glaze Sunshine Pop (yellow) and I dotted random dots Nubar Blue Hydrangea (light blue) and some of the other colors too. Finally I top coated.

It’s an super easy and quick mani, and you can choose the colors you like.

Jeg havde lyst til at gå amok med en makeup svamp og et dotting tool, og da jeg havde gået og kigget på Butter London Trout Pout og overvejet hvilken nail art jeg skulle lave på den, blev det den. Med en makeup svamp duppede jeg tilfædige områder med Essie Dive Bar (den meget mørke blå), Butter London Slapper (teal) og China Glaze Sunshine Pop (gul) og jeg prikkede tilfædige prikker med Nubar Blue Hydrangea (lys blå) og lidt med andre farver også. Til slut lagde jeg toplak.

Det er en superlet og hurtig mani, og du kan vælge de farver du nu har lyst til.

Riveting dots - easy & quick mani

 

It's nice to have a garden hose around if the nails should burst into fire with this fiery color on them... ;)

China Glaze Riveting is the gorgeous, fiery orange base color in this super easy and quick nail art. I thought it would be interesting to paint flat/one-dimensional dots and stripes in acrylic color on Riveting, just like I initially did in THIS mani yesterday, and I kind of liked its awesome depth combined the flat look. Of course I top coated with Seche Vite.

China Glaze Riveting er den lækre, flammende orange grundfarve i denne supper hurtige og lette nail art. Jeg syntes det kunne være interessant at male flade/en-dimensionelle prikker og striber med akrylfarve på Riveting, lidt ligesom jeg først gjorde i GÅRSDAGENS mani, og jeg kunne godt lide dens dybde kombineret med det flade look. Til slut brugte jeg toplak, Seche Vite Top coat.
