Blue & gold on white, contest entry

I'm going to enter this manicure in the "The dotting tool" contest on Chalkboard Nails...

This manicure was "born" in my mind just like my unplugged nail art. There are however significant differences, since I only used nail polishes and dotting tools, neither acrylics nor brushes...
I still cannot get the "Flowers from Indigo Ocean" out of my head, so I went for the same blue, that resemblances the color that Royal Copenhagen use for their china.
The base color is 2 coats of OPI Alpine Snow over my ridge filler, and I used 2 different dotting tools when I applied the blue Nubar Indigo Ocean and a little gold with Orly Glitz & Glamour. The top coat is Seche Vite.

Dette design blev "født" in min fantasi ligesom min serie af unplugged nail art. Men der er nogle store forskelle, idet jeg kun brugte neglelakker og dotting tools, ikke hverken acrylfarve eller pensel...
Da jeg stadig ikke kan få mine "Flowers from Indigo Ocean" ud af hovedet, gik jeg efter den samme blå farve, der minder mig om udsmykningen på Royal Copenhagens stel.

To finish this army green series of unplugged nail art, I decided to mix them all, to make a camouflage pattern – a “now I’m here, now I’m not” look :) I admit, it’s not really a true unplugged. I started off with 2 coats of China Glaze Westside Warrior, and when dry, I used a dotting tool and added randomly (1 color at a time) Zoya Dree, Essie Sew Psyched, H&M Hunt Me Down, H&M Wanna Pepperoni and as the new kid on the block also Essie Licorice. Finally I added Seche Vite top coat.
On the last photo I used Essie Matte about you for at matte finish.

Som afslutning på min armygrønne serie af unplugged nail art, besluttede jeg at mikse alle farver I et kamuflagemønster – et “nu er jeg her – nu er jeg ikke” look :) Jeg indrømmer, at det ikke er ægte unplugged.
Grundfarven er 2 lag China Glaze Westside Warrior, og da lakken var tør, brugte jeg et dotting tool og lavede tilfældige pletter (en farve ad gangen) med Zoya Dree, Essie Sew Psyched, H&M Hunt Me Down, H&M Wanna Pepperoni og som ny i selskabet også Essie Licorice. Toplakken er Seche Vite, men på det sidste billede har jeg brugt Essie Matte about you for at skabe et mat look!
Jo, nu er jeg helt klart parat til at gå på jagt, når sæsonen ellers starter igen ;)

I had no real plan, except that I wanted to try Zoya Dree. But then it started to loudly cry out for some kind of nail art, and I know better than to disappoint a wee polish. I chose 6 different acrylic colors that wouldn’t subdue it, and let my mind wander without any goal, like when you doodle during a phone conversation, and this was the result. I sealed the design with Seche Vite.
And so this became the first of a row of unplugged nail art on army/olive colors, and this might not be very good - but still the first ...
Jeg havde ingen plan, havde bare lyst til at prøve Zoya Dree. Men Dree begyndte straks at tigge om en eller anden form for nail art, og jeg skuffer af princip aldrig en lille neglelak, der tigger. Derfor valgte jeg 6 forskellige acrylfarver, som ikke ville overdøve den, og lod ellers tankerne vandre uden noget mål eller plan, ligesom når man kruseduller, mens man snakker i telefon. Jeg sluttede af med Seche Vite dry fast top coat.
Sådan gik startskuddet til en række unplugged nail art på army/olivengrønne farver. Resultatet er måske ikke så godt som de senere - men det var det første.

Unplugged nail art, say WHAT?? – HVAD er det for en størrelse??

Right after New Year’s I was talking on the phone, doodling like I often do – and then I thought – what if…?
I was about to change my polish, and I wanted to try Zoya Dree, and it immediately started to cry out for some kind of nail art, and I know better than to disappoint a wee polish.
I decided to make an attempt with some random doodling without really thinking, I just let my mind wander. I used acrylic colors, that wouldn’t overpower Dree.
I unplugged my brain and went ahead – and the result you can see later this afternoon.
After wearing it 2 days, I decided to test all my army greens with unplugged nail art, and I set up these rules:
01. The colors in the patterns are not to overpower the nail polish, only match it, maybe except for a few nails.
02. The patterns should be “truly unplugged” – so no repetitions and/or copying – all 10 nails should be different.
Monday the 6th of February you are going to see the last of this series of army green unplugged nail art, and some days you only will get swatches of the colors, to see what they look like on their own.
You are going to meet: Unplugged Zoya Dree, Unplugged China Glaze Westside Warrior, Unplugged Essie Sew Psyched, Unplugged H&M Hunt Me Down, Unplugged H&M Wanna Pepperoni and an army green mix camouflage combo.

Lige efter nytår snakkede jeg i telefon, og jeg sad og lavede kruseduller, som jeg ofte gør – og så tænkte jeg, hvad nu hvis…?
Jeg stod lige for at skifte neglelak, og jeg havde lyst til at prøve Zoyua Dree, og da jeg havde fået den på, begyndte den straks at tigge om en eller anden form for nail art, og jeg skuffer af princip aldrig en lille neglelak :)
Jeg besluttede at gore et forsøg med tilfældige kruseduller, hvor hjernen var slået fra, hvor tankerne bare fik frit løb uden mål og med. Jeg brugte akrylfarver, som ikke ville overdøve Dree.
Jeg unpluggede hjernen og gik i gang – resultatet kan du se senere i eftermiddag.
Da jeg havde haft ”designet” på i to dage, besluttede jeg at gøre det samme med de armygrønne farver jeg har, og jeg lavede følgende 2 regler:
01. Farverne i mønstrene må ikke overdøve selve neglelakken, kun matche den, måske med undtagelse af et par negle.
02. Mønstrene skulle være” ægte unplugged” – så ikke noget med gentagelser og/eller kopiering – alle 10 negle skulle være forskellige.
Mandag den 06. februar kommer den sidste af de army grønne farver udsat for unplugged nail art, og ind til da vil der være dage, hvor jeg kun præsenterer farverne, så du kan se hvordan de ser ud alene.
