Fair Maiden Just A Mirage and Pirate Queen, Swords & Lace: A Renaissance Fantasy coll. swatches

Today I have my two picks from the Fair Maiden Polish Swords & Lace: A Renaissance Fantasy collection released in fall 2015.

They are shown in two easy coats with a coat of Seche Vite.

Just A Mirage:

Fair Maiden Polish Just A Mirage is a muted, dark blue toned purple holo with blue flakies. The holo is very strong in the sun, but it’s also visible in indoor light settings.

Pirate Queen:

Fair Maiden Polish Pirate Queen is a slightly muted, magenta leaning purple holo with a strong effect in the sun, but it’s also slightly visible in indoor light settings.

I like both, but would have liked them even more, if they were less muted...

But no matter what, they are beautiful - what do you think..?

Fair Maiden Let Your hair Down and Frozen Heart swatches

Today I have my last two picks from the Be Your Own Heroine collection.

Fair Maiden Let Your Hair Down is a slightly dusty squishy purple holo with a rather strong effect – and it has a beautiful dash of pink shimmer. It is fairly opaque in one coat, but this is two without a top coat. The self leveling ability is super.

Frozen Heart:

Fair Maiden Total Eclipse Of The Heart swatches

Fair Maiden Total Eclipse Of The Heart is from the Addicted To Love collection released for Valentines 2015. It is a gorgeous squishy raspberry/magenta pink holo with a strong rainbow in the sun, but it’s also more or less visible in other light settings. It’s a jelly, but a very pigmented one, so I can use it in 2 coats even on my ridged nails. A top coat isn’t necessary but the photos show it with a coat of Seche Vite.

I wanted to wear this forever...

Fair Maiden Evening Primrose swatches

OK, it's Friday morning - and that means a pastel yellow :)

Fair Maiden Evening Primrose is a pretty warm toned pastel yellow jelly with a fine blue shimmer from the Garden Party collection. It is fairly sheer in the first coat but it builds up nicely in the second, and this is 3 coats without a top coat. The self leveling ability is really good.

Do you like this one. I do even if it's a bit warmer than the pastel yellows I prefer...

Fair Maiden Magic Carpet Ride and Kiss The Girl swatches

Today I have two of the four polishes I picked from the Fair Maiden Be Your Own Heroine collection. 

Magic Carpet Ride:

Fair Maiden Magic Carpet Ride is a Tiffany box kind of shade with a gorgeous golden/pink shimmer. It is a jelly and fairly sheer in the first coat but it builds up nicely in the second and that might be enough, but for these photos I added an extra. I didn’t use a top coat. The self leveling ability is really good.

Kiss The Girl:

Fair Maiden Kiss The Girl is from the Bee Your Own Heroine collection. It is a rose pink squishy holo with a very, very strong effect in the sun, and it’s visible in many other light settings. It is fairly opaque in one coat, but this is two without a top coat. The self leveling ability is super.
