Illamasqua Melange swatches

Illamasqua Melange is described as an intense golden teal, but I see it more like a khaki/olive green with flashes of blue depending on the angle – and the golden shimmer makes it super interesting at all times – it is very unique. It is rather opaque in one coat, but this is two with a coat of Seche Vite.

Illamasqua Ouija swatches

Illamasqua Ouija is a UV glow color. In normal light it’s a gorgeous hot pink shimmer polish, so bright and happy. It is rather opaque in one coat, but this is two + a coat of Seche Vite. The dry time for two coats were a bit on the slow side.

Illamasqua Untold is a wonderful festive red microglitter with an amazing sparkle. I’m showing it in one coat over Illamasqua Ruthless with a coat of Seche Vite. I think this is my prettiest red glitter.

Illamasqua Phallic swatches

It is terribly long since I showed an Illamasqua, so here you go:

Illamasqua Phallic is a blackened blue with a gorgeous cobalt blue shimmer. It is fairly opaque in one coat, but you need two. I’m showing it with a top coat.

Do you like this blackened blue?

It is just a tad to dark for me, but love the shimmer...

Illamasqua swatches: Faux Pas and Kink

Illamasqua Faux Pas and Kink were both released in the fall/winter collection 2011, Theater of the Nameless, and now they are available in the ordinary selection.

Application is easy and the finish is semi matte – the so called rubber finish.

Faux Pas is a beautiful blue toned purple. It easily can be used in 1 coat, but this is 2 coats without a top coat.

Kink:

Kink is a dark forest/bottle green here shown in 2 coats without a top coat...

Illamasqua Nudge swatches

Illamasqua Nudge is an adorable bright pastel blue cream with a light mint hue, I love it! 2 coats are enough – but because my camera picked up my ridges, I chose to show Nudge in 3 coats + a top coat.

Pastel brush stroke nail art

Over a coat of OPI Alpine Snow I added brush strokes of Nail Station Juicy Gossip (mint) and Coco Rico (blue), Essie Lovie Dovie (pink), Nars Sharks Left (yellow) and Illamasqua Jo’mina (lilac). With a small nail art brush dipped in acetone I blurred the edges partially for a marbled effect before it dried completely. The top coat is Seche Vite.
