Swatch Spam OPI, Kiko, China Glaze and Catrice - blackened colors

I never wear black unless it’s a holo, nor do I feel comfortable wearing colors that are very blackened. They might be very OK as a base for nail art, but wearing them alone is a no go for me. So in this post I’m showing 5 colors that all brings me out of my comfort zone. They are: OPI 4 in the Morning, Kiko So Stylish 04 Rouge Noir, Kiko 829 Blueberry, China Glaze Crimson and Catrice 38 Vino Tinto.

OPI 4 in the Morning:
OPI 4 in the Morning is a black with a subtle silver shimmer that makes it look charcoal black/grey. The finish is satin, so it dries semi-matte. This is 2 coats without a top coat.

Kiko So Stylish 04 Rouge Noir:
Kiko So Stylish 04 Rouge Noir is a blackened red cream, in many light settings it feels more like a dark brown with a slight red hue – or even a black. This is 2 coats without a top coat. Thank you to Tanja for this vampy polish!

Kiko 829 Blueberry:
Kiko 829 Blueberry is from the “Quick Dry” line. It’s a super blackened eggplant purple, you know when the eggplant just looks black. In the first coat it had a slight purple hue, but after the second it just felt plain black. The brush is wide, I prefer the normal Kiko brushes. This is 2 coats with a top coat. Thank you to Tanja for sending me this to try :)

China Glaze Crimson:
China Glaze Crimson is a super blackened purple. In the first coat I see the purple, but after the second is just feels black maybe with a warm hue, but even in the sun it’s just black. This is two coats with a top coat.

Catrice 38 Vino Tinto:
Catrice 38 Vino Tinto is a blackened red cream, in many light settings more like a dark brown with a slight red hue – or even a black. This is 2 coats with a top coat.
I know a lot of you are fan of black and blackened colors - so how do you feel about these?

Catrice Haute Future swatches: Eletrix Blue and GaLILACxy (also layered)

Here you two of the LE Haute Future collection from Catrice:

C01 Eletrix Blue is a pale blue-grey holo. It’s easy to apply and the dry time is good. This is 2 coats without a top coat.

GaLILACxy:
C04 GaLILACxy is a pale duochrome polish shifting from pink to silver grey to a subtle beige bronze – not really my color at all, but I believed it was a topper.
So at first I chose to show it in 1 coat over index to pinkie: Indigo blue, eggplant purple, red and bubblegum pink – no top coat.
BUT I realized that it wasn’t ideal to layer it, so here it is in 3 coats – 2 coats would have been enough too…
Do you like them...?
I'm not a huge fan, but they are OK I guess...

Catrice Chameleon swatches: Chromeo & Julia, Salmon Salmon But Different, C(h)ome Leon and Chromit & Miss Pinky

The duochrome Catrice Chameleon polishes are part of the 24 Luxury Lacquers that Catrice relased in the March 14. There were four Chameleons, and I am lucky to be able show you all of them, thanks to yet another swap with Denise, thanks my friend :)
I recently showed two of the Holomania holos – click HERE!

They are all are shown in two coats without a top coat.

Chromeo & Julia:
C05 Chromeo & Julia – is the only one of these 4 that I would call a true duocrome. The formula is very well pigmented and one coat is enough, and it’s a bit thicker than the other three, but easy to work with. It changes from a gorgeous rosey pink to a coppery bronze – very nice shift!

Salmon Salmon But Different:
C07 Salmon Salmon But Different – is a rosey pink changing light/dark to a silvery pink. The effect is very subtle, but still pretty.

C(h)ome, Leon!:
C08 C(h)ome, Leon! – is a peachy shade changing light/dark with a bluish green. The effect is very subtle, but still interesting.

Chromit & Miss Pinky:
C06 Chromit & Miss Pinky – is a magenta pink with a bluish shimmer, changing light/dark to a silvery light bluish sheen. The effect is very subtle, but still pretty.
That's it...
My favorites are Chromeo & Julia and Chromit & Miss Pinky - do you have any favorites among these four..?

Catrice Holomania swatches: ApHolo 7 and Holo in One

The Catrice Holomania polishes are part of the 24 Luxury Lacquers that Catrice relased in the March 14. There were four Holomanias that sold out rapidly, so I am lucky have two to show you, thanks to yet another swap with Denise, thanks a lot :)
They are both very pigmented and perfect one-coaters, and I’m thinking they must be great for stamping!
Here I show them in two coats without a top coat. The application was easy and the dry time was a little bit slower than normal for Catrice.

C02 ApHolo 7:
C02 ApHolo 7 is a pretty light blue, makes me think of stonewashed light blue jeans. The holo particles are pretty coarse so it’s kind of both scattered and light rainbow holo – but not super strong.

Holo in One:
C03 Holo in One is a pretty light sea green with blue undertones, but fortunately it doesn’t feel like teal. The holo particles are pretty coarse so it’s kind of both scattered and light rainbow holo – but not super strong.
- so do you like these two..?
