Micro Painting Monday - 28
This Micro Painting Monday the first set I will show you is "Marigold on blue" - click to see a larger version...
Do you know the feeling - everything around you is noise and stress - but a walk or a moment of silence can help you to return to the noise - that's the feeling I painted in "In the middle of the noise"...
The last set is without a name - it's painted a long time ago and is actually mounted on one of the testing backings, not quite like the ones I the ones I ended up using... But for now it's on display here at home, but can be bought at a low price :)

Micro Painting Monday - 27
Roses for Cinderella is the first set I have to show you today :)
Bleeding blue with flowers is the technique that I have told you about before (see DIY - tips & tricks), where I use a bleeding polish to create an unexpected effect.
I used the same effect in this set called "Bleeding red with flowers"...

Micro Painting Monday - 24 - after my first exhibition
When I started my facebook page Micro Paintings by Maria the chairman for Vendsyssel Knivmagerlaug asked if I would like to exhibit on their annual "Knivtræf i Nord".
Knife makers from all of Scnadinavia - also our neighbor to the south, Germany, and other countries meet to show their amazing work and to participate in a competition. I can tell you that they have attention to detail, I'm in awe!
But they also invite other crafters to exhibit, my two stand "neighbors" showed and sold silver jewlery and glass, there also were and amazing girl who made beautiful things of willow by braiding them, flies for fishing were showed and tied, a blacksmith made knife blades - there were so much to see...
Knivtræf i Nord is held in the huuuge barn of the old manor "Knivholt Hovedgaard", and since the weather was cold - so was the barn, so I have a sore throat and is not physically feeling well today, actually not at all - but I'm so happy!!
Showing something not seen before takes a little learning by doing....
On Saturday a lot of people just glanced and passed by with that empty look in their eyes, even if many did stop, so that I got a chance to talk to them and a lot of business cards was haded out.
But I decided to make improvements for Sunday.
Of the not shown here on the blog sets, that was sold were these two, first "Mossy theme"

It might be a bit difficult to see (unless you click on the photos to enlarge them) - but I wrote Hand Painted Micro Paintings - read for the wall or a frame - and that gave a whole new level of interested, and I sold the first piece first thing in the morning.
All in all it was a fantastic week end, most of all because it was so good to hear that people liked what they saw, and some even very impressed :)
- and "Orange flowers and mushrooms" - here shown before and after mounting....

Micro Painting Monday - 23
Today I will show you how the back ground can change how you see a set of paintings...
Personally I prefer a frame with passepartout - but here are framing examples without one...
First the set "Flowers on strong green" before mounting
Mounted and framed with a blue/grey back ground
Mounted and framed with a white back ground
Mounted and framed with a kind of wine red back ground
Finally mounted and framed with a white back ground - which one do you prefer?

Micro Painting Monday - 21
On this Micro Painting Monday #21 I will show you the 4 paintings that played a major role in deciding to try to sell my micro paintings...
These 4 are in our private collection
If you do not want to mount your set of paintings directly on the wall, you can frame them.
And if you choose a frame with a passepartout it gives depth and hides the holes in the side in a thin frame.
You can choose a different color than white behind the paintings, and if you get tired of the chosen color you can choose another - one of the huge advantages of the clear acrylic backing...
This set also is from my private collection, you can see it as the middle piece of the frame with 3 set of paitings...

Micro Painting Monday - 20
The first set in Micro Painting Monday #20 is the set, that Yun chose as her prize, when she won the giveaway. It is now on it's way to you - and I hope you like it IRL!!
The next set is "Grey can be fun" - and it is for sale in my shop - just like the next set of micro paintings..
The last set today is also for sale - it's called Hanging coral red flowers...
See more in my shop Micro Paintings by Maria! - have you by the way noticed the new front page - and what do you think of it...?
I was sad that some still thought I was painting for nails - not walls, and now it should be more clear...?
