Ah yes, another pastel yellow ;)

Rica Mellow Yellow is a stamping polish and very opaque. You easily can get away with one coat, but because of my heavy ridges, I’m showing it in two without a top coat. It is a gorgeous pastel yellow with a great self-leveling ability, just like I love them!

Perfect Formula Virtue 486 

Perfect Formula Virtue 486 is a beautiful magenta pink with a super pretty shimmer – a Maria pink for sure. It is surprisingly opaque in the first coat, but this is 2 easy coats, and since I noticed a few bubbles, I added a top coat. The dry time is not super quick.

POP Beauty sixty three mint magic

POP Beauty sixty three mint magic is a beautiful and bright min, just like I love them!! 2 coats would be enough, but for these photos I used 3 coats and a top coat. The dry time was on the slow side.

Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear Mellow Yellow

Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear Mellow Yellow is mid yellow cream. The formula is easy to work with and 2 coats are enough. This is however 3 coats without a top coat.

Wet n Wild 213C On a Trip/En Voyage

Wet n Wild 213C On a Trip/En Voyage is from the Megalast collection. It is a pretty medium purple or maybe dark lavender. This is 2 coats without a top coat. The application was a lill’ bit difficult as the wide flat brush had a terrible cut.

P2 030 sweet harmony

P2 030 sweet harmony is from the Let’s Rock collection, I believe it was from 2013. It’s a pale pastel green cream and the formula is easy to work with and the self leveling is good. 2 coats would be enough, but this is 3 coats without a top coat.

Purple flowers on Mellow Yellow

I added a layer of Lilacquer Selkie to add a beautiful shimmer to Picture Polish Mellow Yellow

The base color is Picture Polish Mellow Yellow, see swatches HERE. Over it I layered a coat of Lilaquer Selkie to add add subtle green shimmer. Then I painted the flowers with acrylic craft color and top coated with Seche Vite.

When I recently chatted with Wenche from Norway Nails we also talked about future blogger samples, and I mentioned 4 yellow polishes I would love to blog about...
We continued chatting - and then some minutes later she wrote the words, I never will forget because I laughed so hard: Are you SURE you want that many yellows in your parcel.....???
Well as I was about to shop in her store anyhow, so I bought Picture Polish Mellow Yellow myself to ease the shocked Wenches mind  ;)

4 lovely shades of yellow

 

First we have Picture Polish Mellow Yellow, it's a pretty pastel yellow with a  fabulous formula, two easy coats over my ridge filler base coat. No top coat.

 

Nailstation Lightening Lemon is in fact not that at all, it's a pretty yellow in a shade that I call a bright pastel - mellow and lovely. This is also two easy coats over my ridge filler base coat. No top coat.

 

Spring Yellow from Linda Johansen is a yellow that reminds me of the ripening peal of a banana, or you could say a yellow with a touch of papaya - hard to describe and unique in my collection. This also was two easy coats over my ridge filler base coat. No top coat.

 

Nailstation Confidentiel - a bright, happy and summer-y lemon yellow, not a neon, but very bold and bright. I love my pastel yellows, but I also think that this type of yellow is pure perfection! You see two easy coats over my ridge filler base coat. No top coat.
