In
this holo swatch spam you will meet 2 extreme holos and 2 subtle holos: Shaka Hologram Sky, Pupa 80, Lady Venezia 24, Mi-ny
Violet 6!
They were a gift/swap from the super sweet Chiara from IlMio Beauty Case - thank you so much my friend!
Ok, prepare for the first one, get your sun glasses ready for Shaka Hologram Sky:
Shaka Hologram Sky is a beautiful and
bright pastel blue holo with a super wicked strong effect. I experienced a
little dragging in the second coat even over a ridge filler bc that works like a aqua bc, and it does cling to the nail and show
imperfections – but GAHH, it’s so gorgeous <3 You see it in 2 coats without
a top coat.
Now you can remove your sun glasses for the next two, the first it Pupa 80:
Pupa 80 is a very delicate
and pale green holo, a bit khaki leaning I would say. Considering the light
shade the holo effect is fairly strong and fairly visible in most light
settings. The formula was rather easy to work with, I experienced just a little
dragging (I did use a ridge filler base coat), and it clings to the nails
showing imperfections, but not as bad as some other brands. This is two coats
with a coat of Seche Vite.
The next is Lady Venezia 24:
Lady Venezia 24 is a pale grey-blue
holo with a medium strong effect. The formula was nice to work with, and this
is 2 coats without a top coat.
And for Mi-ny Violet 6 you definitely need you sun glasses again:
Mi-ny Violet 6 is a gorgeous lavender-pink also with a super wicked strong effect,
seriously strong. I experienced a little dragging even over a ridge filler bc that works like a aqua bc and it does cling to the nail
and show imperfections – but OMG, it’s beyond gorgeous <3 You see 2 coats
without a top coat.
So this was two extreme holos and two subtle. I have a soft spot for the strong rainbows - what do you prefer?

Chanel Beige D'Or 24 swatches over different colors - vintage
Chanel Beige D’Or 24 – is not
the same as the later Beige D’Or 223. I do not know how old it is, but it’s
clearly a vintage, probably from the 90's, and not seen for sale very often.
Beige D’Or 24 is a beautiful gold shimmer in a very
sheer beige base. It would look gorgeous on its own on nails without the ridges
I have.
So I chose to show it in 1 coat as a topper over four
Chanel polishes: Black Satin 219, Suspicious 561, Blue Rebel 553 and Mysterious
601.I'm not too fond of it over Blue Rebel, but I do like the other layerings - what do you think..?

Micro Painting Monday - 24 - after my first exhibition
When I started my facebook page Micro Paintings by Maria the chairman for Vendsyssel Knivmagerlaug asked if I would like to exhibit on their annual "Knivtræf i Nord".
Knife makers from all of Scnadinavia - also our neighbor to the south, Germany, and other countries meet to show their amazing work and to participate in a competition. I can tell you that they have attention to detail, I'm in awe!
But they also invite other crafters to exhibit, my two stand "neighbors" showed and sold silver jewlery and glass, there also were and amazing girl who made beautiful things of willow by braiding them, flies for fishing were showed and tied, a blacksmith made knife blades - there were so much to see...
Knivtræf i Nord is held in the huuuge barn of the old manor "Knivholt Hovedgaard", and since the weather was cold - so was the barn, so I have a sore throat and is not physically feeling well today, actually not at all - but I'm so happy!!
Showing something not seen before takes a little learning by doing....
On Saturday a lot of people just glanced and passed by with that empty look in their eyes, even if many did stop, so that I got a chance to talk to them and a lot of business cards was haded out.
But I decided to make improvements for Sunday.
Of the not shown here on the blog sets, that was sold were these two, first "Mossy theme"

But I decided to make improvements for Sunday.
It might be a bit difficult to see (unless you click on the photos to enlarge them) - but I wrote Hand Painted Micro Paintings - read for the wall or a frame - and that gave a whole new level of interested, and I sold the first piece first thing in the morning.
All in all it was a fantastic week end, most of all because it was so good to hear that people liked what they saw, and some even very impressed :)
- and "Orange flowers and mushrooms" - here shown before and after mounting....
