Chanel Coco Blue 551 - Les Jeans coll. swatches - Chanel Saturday

 

As the first post this Chanel Saturday I want to show you Chanel Coco Blue. It was first released in the Les Jeans coll., Fashion Night Out 2011: Coco Blue, Blue Boy and Blue Rebel, all re-promoted with numbers spring 2012: 551, 555 and 553.

Coco Blue was my first Chanel, so I chose her for this second Chanel Saturday together with Elena from PicturedTinsel, see my introduction HERE. And last weekend I also showed you Alchimie, Elixir and Mysterious!
I bought Coco Blue pre-owned, worn once - isn't she pretty..?
She is shown in 2 coats and without a top coat...
Later today I'm showing you Chanel Vendetta, and I have two other Chanels ready for tomorrow!

Jeg købte Coco Blue brugt, brugt en gang - er hun ikke bare fin...?
Hun er vist i to lag og uden toplak...
Senere i dag viser jeg Chanel Vendetta, og i morgen har jeg to andre Chaneller klar!

- the subtle shimmer makes her interesting to look at...
- den lette shimmer gør hende mere interessant at se på...

 

But then it started to dawn on me, where did I see something similar in my stash - ahh, that's right:

Chanel Coco Blue met Nubar Faded Jeans - and they both thought the other one was the prettiest sight ever, so if they have babies, are you ready for adoption...??? ;)

- they are very, very close, but I think Faded Jeans has a super light turquoise hue in comparison, and the formula is not as pigmented as Coco Blue...
- de er meget, meget ens, men jeg synes at Faded Jeans har et super let skær af turkis i sammenligning med, og konsistensen er ikke så pigmenteret som Coco Blue...

Ombre with "additions" - Artsy Wednesday!

I could have stopped here….

The theme this week of Artsy Wednesday is an ombre mani.

The truth is that I always found them to be a bit boring – but NOT any longer!

I chose to do a very shade/tone-coherent ombre within lighter blue colors going from light to darker, and I really think I achieved that…

Thumb-pinkie: Nubar Baby Blue, Nubar Blue Hydrangea, Nubar Faded jeans, China Glaze Bahamian Escape and Essie Lapis of Luxury

So, I could have stopped here – but didn’t (not much of a surprise for my regular readers ;) – should I have??

I went for a washed out look within the same color frame as the ombre, did it become too washed out...?

Sidesweep flowers

 

And then the weirdest thing happen, then next morning after I showered there were MORE flowers...? ;)
Og den næste morgen efter at jeg havde været i bad, skete det mest mærkelige, der var pludselig FLERE blomster...? ;)

The base coat is Nubar Faded Jeans. It surprised me by being a bit sheer and it dried slower than Nubar normally do, weird…

I freehanded the flowers with acrylic colors over the area that I first had sponged with 3 green colors China Glaze Gaga For Green + Glittering garland and Essie Pretty Edgy. I have quite a few manis’ with this type of flowers by now, so you are going to see them a lot in different versions. The top coat is Seche Vite.

Grundfarven er Nubar Faded Jeans, der overraskede mig ved ikke at være særligt godt dækkende eller hurtigt tørrende, mærkeligt…

Jeg malede de små blomster frihånd med akrylfarve over et område, som jeg først havde duppet med 3 grønne farver: China Glaze Gaga For Green + Glittering garland and Essie Pretty Edgy.

Denne type blomster har jeg efterhånden et pænt lager af, så du kommer til at se dem i mange forskellige afskygninger :) Toplakken er som vanligt Seche vite.
