NYX swatch spam: Lavender, Pastel Yellow, Pastel Mint and Pastel Lavender

This post brings you 4 polishes from the advanced salon formula line: NPS170 Lavender, NPS226 Pastel Yellow, NPS231 Pastel Mint and NPS232 Pastel Lavender.

They all have a nice formula, easy application, the dry time is good and the finish is shiny.

NPS170 Lavender:

NPS170 Lavender is a dark lavender/medium purple cream, 2 coats with a top coat.

NPS226 Pastel Yellow:

NPS226 Pastel Yellow is a warm toned pastel yellow cream, 3 coats, no top coat.

NPS231 Pastel Mint:

NPS231 Pastel Mint is a pale, slightly blue toned pastel mint cream, 2 coats with a top coat.

NPS232 Pastel Lavender

NPS232 Pastel Lavender is a slightly dusty lavender cream, 2 coats with a top coat.

Nubar Pastel Fever collection, spring 2010: Lemon Sherbet and Lavender swatches

Nubar Lemon Sherbet and Lavender are from the Pastel Fever collection, spring 2010.

Lemon Sherbet:

Lemon Sherbet is a gorgeous pastel yellow, just like I love them. This is 3 coats without a top coat.

Lavender:

Lavender is a beautiful lavender, very opaque in 1 coat, but this is 2 coats without a top coat.

Hooked on sweet flowers

 

 

The base color is 2 coats of China Glaze Sweet Hook, hence the silly name, and the one-stroke flowers I painted with acrylic colors, purple and white, the leaves with green, and the center is dotted with pink. Finally I top coated with Seche Vite.

Grundfarven er 2 lag China Glaze Sweet Hook, deraf opstod det skøre navn, og one-stroke blomster malede jeg med akrylfarver i lilla og hvid, bladene med grøn, og midten er prikket med pink. Top coaten er Seche Vite.

Swatch Saturday - China Glaze: Sweet Hook, Dance Baby, Gothic Lolita & Sunshine Pop + yellow comparison

All are shown in 2 coats over a ridge filler base coat and without a top coat.  They are easy to apply and dry fast.

Alle er vist med 2 lag over en ridge filler grundlak og uden toplak. De er lette at påføre og tørrer hurtigt.

5 yellow polishes – comparison – sammenligning

For some totally unknown reason I have 5 yellow polishes, close but not totally close to each other. So I have made a quick comparison, CG stands for China Glaze…

CG Happy Go Lucky is a cream, the rest have more or less subtle shimmer. CG Lighthouse looks golden/glittery, but it IS a bright and shiny yellow.

Af en eller anden uransagelig årsag har jeg hele 5 gule neglelakker, tæt på hinanden men allgievel forskellige. Så jeg har her lige en hurtig sammenligning, CG står for China Glaze…

CG Happy Go Lucky er en crème lak, resten har mere eller mindre udtalt shimmer. CG Lighthouse ser guld/glitter agtig ud på billederne, men den ER en en skinnende shimmer gul.

Guinevere’s hair band + A-England Guinevere swatches & review - anmeldelse

 

 

When I had applied 2 coats of this gorgeous color, A-England Guinevere, I immediately thought: China Glaze Marry a Millionaire, and sure enough – the shades fits like a hand in a glove. Then I remembered the kind of band I made in the Christmas story, click HERE, and later I did the same type of ban HERE, I actually am quite fond of this kind of band, and it's quick and super easy to do.

So I imagined that I gave Guinevere a hair band, and used a dotting tool and Marry a Millionaire for the broad band, and I outlined it with a nail art striper from Art Club: Solid Silver.

I wonder if Guinevere liked her hair band…?

Da jeg havde lagt to lag af den smukke A-England Guinevere, tænkte jeg straks: China Glaze Marry a Millionaire, og ganske rigtigt, nuancen passede som hånd i handske. Så kom jeg i tanke om den type bånd, som jeg lavede i Julehistorien, klik HER, og siden også HER, faktisk er jeg ret vild med denne type bånd, der både er hurtig og superlet at lave.

Så jeg besluttede at give Guinevere et hårbånd, og brugte et dotting tool og Marry a Millionaire til det brede bånd, og jeg brugte Art Club Solid Silver til at kante ”båndet” med.

A-England Guinevere is a lovely, dusty lavender cream polish. The pictures are not quite color-true, I tried the best I can. It’s opaque in 2 coats, and easy to work with, but dries a bit slow. I added it over a ridge filler base coat, and used no top coat for these swatches. 

A-England Guinevere er en smuk støvet lavendel creme lak. Billederne er ikke 100% farvetro, men jeg prøvede så godt jeg kunne. Den dækker ved 2 lag, og her ser du den over en ridge filler grundlak, og der er ikke brugt en top coat på disse billeder.
Den er let at arbejde med, men tørrer lidt langsommere end jeg er vant til med China Glaze.
