Bright summer flowers

 

 

 

The base color is Catrice 400 Blue Cara Ciao and I sponged random areas with Catrice 520 Apropos Apricot. I painted the bright coral/salmon flowers with acrylic paint over the sponged areas, making it look a bit like they are on clouds. Finally I top coated with Seche Vite.

I wore this mani 2 days – it’s a real smurf nail blue, I’m happy I use base coat, should have used 2 coats.

Grundfarven er Catrice 400 Blue Cara Ciao og jeg duppede tilfældige områder med Catrice 520 Apropos Apricot. Jeg malede de koral/laksefarvede blomster med akrylfarve hen over de spongede områder, så de fik virkning som skyer. Til sidst lagde jeg min toplak, Seche Vite.

Jeg havde denne mani på i to dage – og denne blå giver virkelig smølfeblå negle på trods af base coat.

Pink flowers on peach & brown - out of my comfort zone

 

 

 

I set out to swatch Catrice 520 Apropos Apricot (a colur that brings me out of my comfort zone) and review it, but I was a bit disappointed that it looked a bit streaky after the 2 coats, that the polish tells me to apply, but it did dry quickly. So I figured that the slightly metallic brown Essence James’s Favorite Brown from the Soul Sista collection would look nice on it, if I sponged it randomly. Then I painted baby pink flowers and added a few green leaves with acrylic color and finished with Seche Vite Top coat. What do you think…?

Jeg ville egentlig swatche Catrice 520 Apropos Apricot (en farve, der ikke rigtigt er mig) og anmelde den, men jeg var lidt skuffet over det noget stribede resultat jeg endte op med efter de 2 lag som lakken siger er nok. Men så tænkte jeg at den let metalbrune Essence James’s Favorite Brown fra Soul Sista kollektionen nok ville se pæn ud sammen med, så jeg duppede den på med en makeupsvamp i et tilfældigt mønster.  Derefter malede jeg nogle baby-lyserøde blomster og et par tilfældige blade med akrylfarve og sluttede af med en toplak, Seche Vite. Hvad synes du…?

All colors are shown in 2 coats. They dry medium fast to fast, and the nude obviously needs more coats to give opacity. Over the next weeks I'll show you all colors as a base for some kind of nail art.

400 Blue Caro Ciao is a strong medium blue creme polish. It's beautiful - but stained my nails terribly!

240 Sold Out For Ever is a very pale mint/blue color with subtle shimmer, 2 coats of this delight gives full opacity.

700 Birdie Reloaded is a bold and bright yellow with light shimmer.

520 Apropos Apricot is like the name suggests an apricot color, and it has a very subtle shimmer. It is NOT a two coater as the bottle say, first coat is very streaky, and the second is however a little less, 3 coats probably is needed if you want to wear it on it's own.

800 Heavy Metallilac - is just that, a metallic purple with shimmer, 2 coats gives opacity - I love it!

02 Cotton Candy At Eiffel Tower is a very pale nude that dries with an extremely shiny finish. 3 or  4 coats gives full opacity.
