Go Pink Wednesday - week 5

 

 

In this last week of ”Go pink Wednesday” breast cancer awareness I have chosen the same base color for all my 3 designs, it’s China Glaze Rich & Famous. I did however top each of the nails with different effects. The first from the left has a coat of Sinful Pinky Glitter and the tip is sponged with Models Own Purple Haze. The next a coat of Kiko 234 (Sparkle Touch coll.) and the tip is sponged with China Glaze Atlantis. The last has a coat of Essence Party Princess and the tip is sponged with Sation Ego Friendly. The rest is as usual painted freehand with acrylic craft colors, and the top coat is Seche Vite.

Hiding in pink

 

 

The next in my “Hiding in X” series is pink.

When I did my “Hiding in blue”, Ana from “Mimi’s Vanity Box” suggested, that I did a similar pink camouflage, so this is for you my friend, you have been a faithful support ever since I started my blog!

This is my second attempt, you can see the first farthest below, it lacked contrast and edge, so I realized, that I had to add more fuchsia/hot pink to get better contrast, and I started out with China Glaze Ahoy!, a raspberry red/hot pink with nice glass flecks, as the base color. For the dots I used China Glaze Rich & Famous + Dance baby, Essie Lovie Dovie and OPI Pedal Faster Suzi. And I top coated to finish the design.

Da jeg postede “Hiding in Blue” foreslog Ana fra ”Mimi’sVanity Box” at jeg lavede en pink kamouflage, så den er til hende, en trofast støtte, der har været der lgie fra mine første spænde skridt her på bloggen!

Det er mit andet forsøg, du kan se det første længere nede, men det manglede kontrast og ”kant”, so jeg tænkte at jeg var nødt til at bruge mere fuchsia/hot pink for at få mere kontrast. Derfor valgte jeg grundfarven China Glaze Ahoy!. en hindbærrød/hot pink med smukke glasagtige flecks, og til kamouflagen valgte jeg China Glaze Rich & Famous + Dance baby, Essie Lovie Dovie and OPI Pedal Faster Suzi, som jeg dottede på med et dotting tool. Til sidst lagde jeg toplak.

First discarded attempt/første kasserede forsøg:

My first try became too blahh, way too little contrast for my liking – even if I added a little silver. The base Color is China Glaze Rich & Famouse and the dots/camouflage colors are china Glaze Second Hand Silk + Dance Baby, Essie Lovie Dovie + Spaghetti Strap and OPI Pedal Faster Suzi.

Our local nail shop “Get Nail’d” is owned by a very sweet, fun and talented, Canadian girl, Michelle, that specializes in gel nails. But she also sells China Glaze, and sometimes some of the older or almost sold out stock ends in a cute little bin, at the price of 25 dkr, which in Denmark is very, very cheap. On Friday I bought two, but then today I had to go to Thisted, and my feet forced me to go in again. I ended up with one of my "planned accidental shoppings" – 8 China Glazes, of which 3-6 are for future blog give-aways :) - see the colors below.

Vores lokale negleshop i Thisted, hedder “Get Nail’d” og ejes Michelle, en rigtigt sød, sjov og dygtig pige, der stammer fra Canada. Hun har specialiseret sig i gele negle, men sælger også China Glaze neglelakker til meget rimelige priser. Hun har næsten altid en lille kurv med udgåede lakker til 25,-, så den er jeg tit inde for at rode i :) I fredags købte jeg to, men da jeg alligevel skulle til Thisted i dag, tvang mine fødder mig derind igen, og jeg endte op med et af mine "planlagte tilfældige køb" ;) – 8 China Glaze, af hvilke 3-6 er til fremtidige give-aways på bloggen.  

I bought Chocodisiac (Guilty Pleasures Coll 2006), Ahoy! (Anchors Away Coll. 2011), Draped in Velvet (We Adorn You Coll. 2006), those are definitely for me to keep. I also bought Poetic (Romantique Coll. 2009) and Hey Sailor! (Anchors Away Coll. 2011) and they might both be for give-aways. Finally I bought 3 personal favorites, that I already own for future blog give-aways: Senorita Bontita, Jolly Holly and Rich & Famous.

Jeg købte Chocodisiac (Guilty Pleasures Coll 2006), Ahoy! (Anchors Away Coll. 2011), Draped in Velvet (We Adorn You Coll. 2006), som helt klart er til mig selv. Jeg købte også Poetic (Romantique Coll. 2009) og Hey Sailor! (Anchors Away Coll. 2011) og de ender måske også som give-aways. Endelig købte jeg 3 egne favoritter, som jeg allerede har I samlingen, til fremtidige blog give-aways: Senorita Bontita, Jolly Holly og Rich & Famous.

Finally I visited H&M, where I bought – til slut besøgte jeg H&M, hvor jeg købte:

Of course I need to have a polish named Nerd, right??? Naturligvis er jeg nødt til at eje en lak, der hedder Nerd, ikke????
