OPI La Paz-itively Hot is just that - it IS positively hot and gorgeous. This is 2 easy coats with a good dry time and without a top coat. 

- and OPI La Paz-itively Hot Matte:

OPI La Paz-itively Hot Matte is also a very hot pink, except it's more red toned, but it still has the fuchsia shimmer. This is 2 easy coats with a good dry time and without a top coat.

So do you like these two hot beauties..?
In my opinion they do not really qualify to be the same polish in a shiny and matte version. So to check that out, I have prepared a comparison post with these two, where I mattify the shiny - and make the matte shiny to see if they compare better like that!
I will show that comparison post on a later occasion!

Playing with silky & matte finishes in stripes and dots

 

Glossy - with top coat

The base color is Essence 03 Peach Punk from the Rebels coll. it dries with a semi matte latex finish. I wanted to keep the theme in silky semi matte finish so with a striper I freehanded stripes and dotted dots with China Glaze Turned Up Turquoise (turquoise neon) and Stone Cold (dark grey matte), and the light green-yellow is also from the Rebels coll, it’s called 04 Rebelizer. After a while I wanted to see it glossy, so I top coated to see the difference. Which version do you prefer?

Grundfarven er Essence 03 Peach Punk fra Rebels kollektionen, den tørrer med en såkaldt latex finish, for mig er det en silke/halvmat. Jeg ønskede at blive i det semimatte og matte tema, så jeg malede striber med en striper pensel og prikker med et dotting tool med China Glaze Turned Up Turquoise (turkis neon) and Stone Cold (mørk grå mat), og den lyse gulgrønne er også fra Rebels kollektionen, den hedder 04 Rebelizer. Efter et stykke tid blev jeg nysgerrig efter at se, hvordan den ville se ud med en toplak, hvilken version foretrækker du?

This is my second tiger, and I decided to use the exact same colors as I did the first time. Oh boy I was so proud of my first tiger, it took me a looong time, but today I can see it has flaws. But when it comes right down to it, our results doesn’t have to be perfect. Jump right in and have fun while you do it, and practice is a great thing! Over my base coat I added two coats of China Glaze White on White. Then I painted a little more than the lower half with China Glaze Papaya Punch, and when a little dry, I sponged the area between those two colors with more Papaya Punch, creating an uneven topline. When dry I painted the stripes with black acrylic color, and when dry, I added Seche Vite Top coat. If you need inspiration, do a Google search for tiger.
Before removing it, I tried Essie matte about you to mattify it – but I definitely do not like the matte version, how about you…?
Dette er min anden tiger, og jeg besluttede at bruge de samme farver som i første forsøg. Jeg var så stolt over min første tiger, der tog mig laaang tid atlave, men i dag kan jeg jo godt se dens fejl og mangler. Men når alt kommer til alt BEHØVER vores resultater ikke være perfekte, det gælder jo først og fremmest om at kaste sig ud i det og have det sjovt, mens du træner!
Jeg lagde over min base coat 2 lag China Glaze White on White. Derefter malede jeg lidt mere end den nederste halvdel af neglene med China Glaze Papaya Punch. Da det orange var lidt tørt brugte jeg et lille stykke makeup svamp til at duppe området mellem det orange og hvide med mere Papaya Punch, så den øverste linje blev lidt ujævn. Da det var tørt malede jeg striberne med sort acrylfarve, og da de var tørre lagde jeg Seche Vite top coat. Hvis du mangler inspiration, så lav en Google søgning på tiger.
Før jeg fjernede tigeren ville jeg se den mat, så jeg lagde et lag Essie matte about you. Jeg kan helt klart ikke li’ den matte version, men hvad med dig…?

You can make a zebra with thicker or thinner, many or fewer lines, and you can of course use any colors you like. Google provides a lot of photos, if you want photos for zebra inspiration. Finally you can use one of the many stamping plates with a zebra pattern, but it’s very easy to do yourself…

This was my 2 first zebra attempts. Over my base coat I added two coats of China Glaze White on White and let it dry in both attempts.
Zebra 1 with the thickest stripes: I used a 2-way nail art pen to draw the zebra stripes, and was a bit too quick and didn’t wait until they were completely dry before I added my Seche Vite top coat, as you can see there is a light smudging.

Du kan male tykkere eller tyndere og færre eller flere striber, når du maler zebra mønster på dine negle. Du kan naturligvis også anvende den farvekombination, du bedst kan li’. Endelig kan du også stampe/stemple dem på ved at bruge en af de utallige zebra mønster plader, der findes. Men de er meget lette selv at male…
Dette var mine to første zebra forsøg. Jeg lagde to lag China Glaze White on White over min base coat og led det tørre helt.
Zebra 1 med de tykkeste striber: Jeg bruge en tovejs nail art pen til at tegne striberne med, og jeg var lidt for hurtig til at lægge top coaten. Som du kan se var striberne ikke helt tørre, og det bevirkede at der blev en let udtværing af mønsteret.

Zebra 2 with thinner and fewer lines: I the initial steps as above, and then I used a fine brush and acrylic color for the stripes, and I sealed it with Seche Vite.
Zebra 2 med tyndere og færre linier: Jeg fulgte de samme indledende trin og brugte en fin pensel og acrylfarve til striberne. Jeg brugte Seche Vite som Top Coat.

Finally I put Essie Matte About You (matte top coat) on both mani's, and I think, I like the matte zebra better - which zebra do you like the best?
