The holographic sky - Artsy Wednesday

 

 

 

This weeks theme in Artsy Wednesday is "Inspired by the view from my windows" - and I am so fortunate to live in the countryside, with a from time to time almost holographic (maybe not quite) blue sky - and we grow Christmas trees as a hobby. Right now the winter is quite cold and we have snow - so here you go...
The base color is Color Club Blue Heaven (very appropriate here, right?) from the Halo Hues coll. 2012, and the rest is painted in acrylic craft colors - and the top coat is Seche Vite!
Next week there is no Artsy Wednesday, we have decided on posting every second week from now on...

Snow landscape and a snowman

The base color is Kiko 295 Cerulean Blue, and to create a little frosty air, I added a layer of China Glaze Fairy Dust. Then I painted the snowy ground and the body of the snowman with acrylic craft color, and when dry I painted the trees and the details of the snowman, and finally I added some snow to the trees before I top coated with Seche vite.

Grundfarven er Kiko 295 Cerulean Blue, og for at sætte lidt frost fornemmelse på himlen, lagde jeg et lag China Glaze Fairy Dust. Derefter malede jeg sneen og snemandens krop, og da det var tørst kom turen til granerne og detaljerne på snemanden, og til slut lagde jeg sne på grantræerne. Toplakken er som sædvanligt Seche Vite.

Inspired by fall - Artsy Wednesday

 

 

This weeks challenge is inspired by the current season, and unfortunately it's fall in my corner of the world. The only good thing about fall is the gorgeous colors nature displays, so that’s my inspiration.

The base color is China Glaze Sky High-Top to imitate a strong, blue sky on a sunny day. The leaves and the tree I painted with acrylic craft color, and the top coat is Seche Vite.

Denne uges udfordring er inspireret af den nuværende årstid. En af de få gode ting ved efterår er de fantastiske farver som moder natur maler med, så efterårsløvet er min inspiration. 

Grundfarven er China Glaze Sky High-Top der skal efterligne den stærkt blå himmel på en solrig dag. Træerne og bladene er malet med akrylfarve og toplakken er Seche Vite.

Inspired by nature - Artsy Wednesday

This week’s theme in Artsy Wednesday is inspired by nature. Ha, I bet you think – oh nooooesss – more flowers, but this IS a flower free post!
Originally  wanted to do different kinds of trees, but after several days without sun it looked like it would break through, so I could take well lit photos. Therefore I took the easy path - and the sun did come out, 3 minutes or so just before I top coated :(

Denne uges tema i Artsy Wednesday er inspireret af natur. Ha, du tænker allerede – åhhh neeeej, flere blomster, men det ER en blomsterfri manicure!
Oprindeligt ville jeg have lavet forskellige slag træer, men efter flere dage uden sol, så det ud som om den ville bryde igenne, så jeg skyndte mig med tanke på velbelyste billeder. Derfor valgte jeg ens træer - og solen var fremme i ca. 3 minutter lige før jeg top coatede :(

 

 

The base color is Nubar Blue Hydrangea, and I sponged grass with Nubar Reclaim and sea with China Glaze Blue Years Eve + Frosty + OPI Alpine Snow, the clouds with the latter two. The rest I painted with acrylic colors and I top coated with Seche Vite.

If you can see someone waving to you on the island, it’s me – a pile of good books, fresh fruit and cold, clean water, a fishing rod in the sea for catching dinner ;)

Hvis du kan se nogen vinke til dig fra øen, så er det mig, en stor stak gode bøger, frisk frugt, rent kildevand og en fiskestang til at fange aftensmaden med ;)
