Hiding in purple

 

 

It’s a long time since I last did a Hiding in X mani, and I felt like doing a purple version, a camouflage in which I used various purples, and the lightest one is the base color, namely Kiko 330. I used a dotting tool to place the other colors, and I top coated with inm Northern Lights Hologram Top Coat in Gold.

Det er frygtelig længe siden jeg sidst viste en Hiding in X manicure, og nu havde jeg lige lyst til at lave en i lilla, en kamuflage i forskellige lilla farver. Den lyseste er grundfarven, nemlig Kiko 330. Jeg brugte et dotting tool til at placere de andre farver, og jeg brugte inm Northern Lights Hologram Top Coat in Gold som toplak.

Hiding in the Greyscale

 

 

In my series of Hiding in X I chose to do the greyscale!
The base color is A-England Camelot and I created the camouflage pattern with a dotting tool and OPI Alpine Snow, China Glaze Concrete Catwalk (the very dark grey), Essie Cocktail Bling and P2 Arctic (the super pale grey). The top coat is Seche Vite.

Grundfarven er A-England Camelot og ved hjælp af et dotting tool malede jeg kamuflagemønsteret med følgende lakker: Alpine Snow, China Glaze Concrete Catwalk (den meget mørkegrå), Essie Cocktail Bling and P2 Arctic (den super lyse grå). Toplakken er Seche Vite.

Hiding in Skittles - Artsy Wednesday

 

I guess it’s a sign that you are old, when you have to Google the word Skittles to learn what it is… :)

They are this week’s challenge in Artsy Wednesday, and I realized that they would fit right in to my “Hiding in X” series. I tried to find the polishes closest to the photos of Skittles that I found on the internet, and the green and the orange could have been closer, but I guess that means I do not have enough polishes – right???

I started out with painting my nails white with OPI Alpine snow, and then I dotted the Skittles with China Glaze: Turned Up Turquise (greenish) + Sunshine Pop (yellow) + Hey Sailor (red), Orly Orange Punch and Absolute Nails Precious. Finally I top coated.

It was a fun and bright mani to wear on a rainy day…

Det er nok et tegn på, at man er gammel, når man er nødt til at Google ordet Skittles for at finde ud af hvad det er :) 

De er denne uges udfordring i Artsy Wednesday, og jeg tænkte hurtigt at de ville passe perfekt ind i min ”Hiding in x” camouflage serie. Jeg prøvede at finde de lakker, der var tættest på de billeder jeg havde fundet af Skittles, men den grønne og den orange kunne havde været bedre, men det er jo bare et tegn på, at jeg har for få neglelakker, ikke…?

Jeg startede med et lag OPI Alpine snow, og derefter dottede jeg Skittles med China Glaze: Turned Up Turquise (greenish) + Sunshine Pop (yellow) + Hey Sailor (red), Orly Orange Punch og Absolute Nails Precious. Til sidst lagde jeg toplak!

Det var et sjovt og farverigt design, som jeg lavede en grå og regnfuld dag…

 

"Hiding in Easter" mani - påske kamuflage

A quick, and quite silly Easter-color-Friday mani ;)
Originally I was planning a "Hiding in yellow", but my yellow's are too close to make one.  That's why I chose these colors.  
The base color is China Glaze Gaga For Green, and the camouflage is made with a dotting tool and colors from China Glaze: Solar Power, Sunshine Pop, Happy Go Lucky, Lighthouse, Papaya Punch and Sweet Hook and finally I top coated.

Oprindeligt ville jeg have en gul kamouflage, men mine gule lakker er alt for tæt på hinanden, så derfor valgte jeg disse farver.
Grundfarven er China Glaze Gaga For Green, og camouflage mnsteret er lavet med et dotting tool og farver fra China Glaze: Solar Power, Sunshine Pop, Happy Go Lucky, Lighthouse, Papaya Punch and Sweet Hook, og til slut lagde jeg en toplak.

Hiding in blue – skjult i blåt

 

 

I really liked the blue in blue "Flowers from Indigo Ocean" yesterday (check them out if you haven't seen them), I felt like more blue in blue. 
And that gave me the idea to do a “Hiding in x” camouflage series, starting with blue colors added with a dotting tool.
The base color is China Glaze Eyes Like Sapphires, and the other colors are China Glaze First Mate + Electric Beat + Bahamian Escape, Nubar Baby Blue and Essie Smooth Sailing, and I finished off with a top coat.

Jeg kunne godt li’ de blåt i blåt blomster fra igår "Flowers from Indigo Ocean" (tjek dem ud, hvis du ikke har set dem) så fik lyst til mere blåt i blåt.
Og det gav mig så ideen til at lave en ”Skjult i x” kamuflage serie, hvor jeg starter med blå farver påført med et dotting tool.
Som grundfarve har jeg brugt China Glaze Eyes Like Sapphires, og de andre farver er China Glaze First Mate + Electric Beat + Bahamian Escape, Nubar Baby Blue og Essie Smooth Sailing, jeg afsluttede med en toplak.

The matte version - den matte version

To finish this army green series of unplugged nail art, I decided to mix them all, to make a camouflage pattern – a “now I’m here, now I’m not” look :) I admit, it’s not really a true unplugged. I started off with 2 coats of China Glaze Westside Warrior, and when dry, I used a dotting tool and added randomly (1 color at a time) Zoya Dree, Essie Sew Psyched, H&M Hunt Me Down, H&M Wanna Pepperoni and as the new kid on the block also Essie Licorice. Finally I added Seche Vite top coat.
On the last photo I used Essie Matte about you for at matte finish.
Yes, I’m definitely ready to go hunting now LOL
Som afslutning på min armygrønne serie af unplugged nail art, besluttede jeg at mikse alle farver I et kamuflagemønster – et “nu er jeg her – nu er jeg ikke” look :) Jeg indrømmer, at det ikke er ægte unplugged.
Grundfarven er 2 lag China Glaze Westside Warrior, og da lakken var tør, brugte jeg et dotting tool og lavede tilfældige pletter (en farve ad gangen) med Zoya Dree, Essie Sew Psyched, H&M Hunt Me Down, H&M Wanna Pepperoni og som ny i selskabet også Essie Licorice. Toplakken er Seche Vite, men på det sidste billede har jeg brugt Essie Matte about you for at skabe et mat look!
Jo, nu er jeg helt klart parat til at gå på jagt, når sæsonen ellers starter igen ;)
