Chanel Silver, Duo Platinum 2007 - Collaboration Saturday

Time flies - it's Collaboration Saturday once again together with my friend Elena from PicturedTinsel - and today we are both in the silver and gold business!

Chanel Silver – is from the Duo Platinum collection 2007.

One set of Duo Platinum was Holographic and the other one was Silver, both sold in sets with the base coat Base Fixante/Fixing Base.

Silver has a foil finish, and foil finishes shows any imperfections in the nail, and you know I have terrible ridges. That’s why I chose to show it over an old mani I was about to remove + a fresh coat of base coat and in 2 coats of Silver – no top coat.

Random subtle doodlings

The base color is Chanel Rouge Moire, see swatches HERE. I wanted to stay in the metallic frame with some subtle doodling, so I chose a copper metallic acrylic craft color and before I top coated with Seche Vite, I added inm Northern Light Hologram Top Coat Silver to the parts with the doodling.

Grundfarven er Chanel Rouge Moire, se swatches HER. Jeg blev i det metallic look og skriblede lidt med en kobber akrylfarve, og før jeg lagde Seche Vite toplakken, lagde jeg er lag inm Northern Light Hologram Top Coat Silver til den del af neglene med skriblerierne.

Ugly doodling on a silver torch

The Base color is Priti Nyc Silver Torch a grayish sand with shimmer. I felt like random doodlings in black and silver, but then I didn’t like it and spiced it up with a coat of inm Northern Light Hologram Top Coat Silver, and then I started to wonder what it would look like with two coats – and here is the result. It’s both a bit weird, but also a little cool maybe, you decide :)

Grundfarven er den grålige sand Priti Nyc Silver Torch. Jeg havde lyst til lidt tilfældige skriblerier i sort og sølv, men så kunne jeg ikke li’ det og tænkte, hvordan det mon ville se ud med inm Northern Light Hologram Top Coat Silver, og da det første lag var lagt, tænkte jeg hvordan det mon ville se ud med to lag. Det er både lidt mærkeligt, men måske også en lille smule cool – hvad synes du???

Clusters of flowers on the glittery sky

The base color is the pretty pastel blue Picture Polish Sky. I painted tiny clusters of flowers in metallic acryl craft colors, top coated with inm Northern Light Hologram Top Coat Silver before I took these photos. But being used to Seche Vite and how fast it dries, my impatience made me use that too, to get a really dry mani in no time ;)

Grundfarven er den smukke pastel blå Picture Polish Sky. Jeg malede små blomsterklaser med metallic akryl farver, og jeg top coatede med inm Northern Light Hologram Top Coat Silver før jeg tog billederne. Men når man nu er vant til Seche Vite og dens evne til at tørre hurtigt, fik min utålmodighed mig til at bruge den også, så jeg kunne komme videre :)

Earthquake - Artsy Wednesday

 

 

I had no idea what an earthquake mani is – and I’m still not sure I know, but it’s the theme of this week in Artsy Wednesday. Ah, anyways, I chose to do both seismographic readings and cracks in a green field – not very inspired, I removed it after the photographing, I didn’t like it…

The white color is OPI Alpine Snow, the green is Cult Deal With it, the rest is acrylic paint and the top coat imn Northern Lights Hologram top coat in Silver.

James’s Favorite Flowers – Soul Sista week

 

 

The base color is the chocolaty, kind of metallic/shimmery brown Essence 02 James’s Favorite Brown from the Soul Sista Collection, the first from the collection I’m showing with nail art. I sponged a little of the coral/salmon 03 Lounge Chair Affair from the same collection on top of it before I painted flowers in silver and gold acrylic color to “stay” in the metallic look. The top coat is Seche Vite.
Brown brings me right out of my comfort zone, but the flowers "helped" me  a little LOL

Grundfarven er en chokolademetallic/shimmer ved navn 02 James’s Favorite Brown fra Soul Sista kollektionen, og den første fra kollektionen som jeg viser med nail art. Jeg duppede lidt af den koral/laksefarvede 03 Lounge Chair Affair fra kollektionen hen over den, før jeg malede blomster i sølv og guld med akrylfarve, for at forblive i metal looket. Toplakken er Seche Vite.
Brun sender mig altid lidt ud på dybt vand, men blomsterne hjalp mig da lidt :)

Hiding in metal

 

In my “Hiding in X” series I this time decided to give the metallic colors a go. The base color is China Glaze Midnight Kiss (pale gold), and for the camouflage pattern I used a dotting tool and China Glaze Icicle (silver) + Awaken (gunmetal grey) + Cross Iron (rust/red copper), OPI, Pros & Bronze and Orly Glitz & Glamour (warm gold), and finally I top coated.

I min “Hinding in X” serie har jeg denne gang besluttet at bruge metalfarver. Grundfarven er China Glaze Midnight Kiss (bleg guld), og til kamouflage mønsteret brugte jeg et dotting tool og China Glaze Icicle (sølv) + Awaken (stålgrå) + Cross Iron (rust/rød kobber), OPI Pros & Bronze og Orly Glitz & Glamour (varm guld), og til slut lagde jeg toplak.

Sexagon and Crystal Ball, 2 discontinued silver holographics

These two elderly ladies are both very hard to find, and since I do not need both, I have decided to sell one of them...
Both are shown over a ridge filler base coat, and I applied 3 coats, but no top coat.
Disse to ældre damer er begge meget svære at finde til salg, og siden jeg ikke har brug for dem begge, har jeg besluttet at sælge den ene...
De bliver begge vist over en ridge filler grundlak, påført i 3 lag og uden toplak.

First we have/først har vi China Glaze Sexagon from the Kaleidoskope collection.

 

 
Next is/den næste er Sally Hansen Crystal Ball, from the Magical Nail Make Up collection.

 

And finally a comparison - og til slut en sammenligning.
Crystal Ball (that I'm selling) is much more fine gritted than Sexagon, it gives a more clean and crisp holo.
Crystall Ball (som jeg har til salg) er meget mere finkornet end Sexagon, det giver et mere "rent" holografisk indtryk.

Love Marilyn – China Glaze Eye Candy Collection 2011-2012

As “quick posts” before the little mouse continues her story around New Years Eve, tomorrow actually, I promised to show you the 4 colors I have from China Glaze’s Eye Candy Collection: Blonde Bombshell, Lorelei’s Tiara, Marry a Millionaire and Love Marilyn.

Som “hurtige opdateringer” før den lille mus fortsætter sin historie omkring nytår, i morgen faktisk, har jeg lovet at vise de 4 farver jeg har fra China Glaze’s Eye Candy Collection: Blonde Bombshell, Lorelei’s Tiara, Marry a Millionaire og Love Marilyn.

 

 

This is 2 coats + Seche Vite. It’s very easy to work with and gives full opacity in two coats. Like Marry a Millionaire this is a VERY festive glitter polish with a very shiny red/silver glittery finish.

Dette er 2 lag + Seche Vite top coat. Den var let at arbejde med og dækker fint ved to lag. Det er ligesom Marry a Millionaire en MEGET festlig glitter med et meget skinnende rød/sølv glitterfinish.

This is 3 coats + Seche Vite. I do not know if this coincidence, but the first coat did not apply as well as the others in my test of 4 from this collection. On mu swatchcicle there was no problem.  I ended up doing 2 coats and Seche Vite, but was not happy with the photo’s, in real life it was quite OK. So I gave a third coat and Seche Vite again, and then it was perfect.  I really love this one, the bar glitters are terrific, and it’s a VERY sparkly light purple/silver/green, very festive.

Dette er 3 lag + Seche Vite top coat. Jeg ved ikke om det var en tilfældighed, men det første lag var ikke så let at påføre som de andre, jeg testede, fra kollektionen. Jeg lagde først to lag + Seche Vite, men jeg var ikke tilfreds med billederne, i virkeligheden var det nu OK. Men jeg lagde yderlig et lag og sluttede af med Seche Vite, og så var det perfekt. Jeg er helt vild med denne, stavglitteren er fantastisk, og den er UTROLIGT glitrende i lys lilla, sølv og grøn, den er meget festlig.

I’m totally in love with this color, it’s cold and frosty in its silver grey and blue colors.
